USA v. Canada Gold Cup PET

drove with a friend from Madison to Detroit on Tuesday for opening round games of the Gold Cup. Contemplated going to a few closer matches, but decided we wanted to see the USMNT more. Checked out some of the pre-game festivities and had a few pints at Cheli's place a few blocks away. Got there early for the Panama v. Guadalupe match, but not nearly as entertaining.

opening kick

Evidently Canada was REALLY worried about our FKs. When I played in college we never had more than 5 in a wall. They had 7 and 6 a handful of times.

Donovan letting the ref know he missed one.

Jozy celebrating his goal

every person in Canada that actually cares about soccer. we couldn't stop laughing at their "Mission 2014: Brasil" sign

front half of a Bradley cross...

to Altidore.

American Outlaws and Sam's Army chanting "stick to hockey"
