the only girl i've ever loved
was born with roses in her eyes
but then they buried her alive
one year in 1945
with just her sister at her side
and only weeks before the guns
all came and rained on everyone

Base, which do you prefer? On Avery Island or Aeroplane? I used to be a stickler for OAI, but I came around recently and admitted that Aeroplane is the superior album. Although both are good.

aeroplane. I'm not sure where the intention of the album is. tons of grief. inspired by the diary of anne frank? really? the grief has to come from somewhere in the guy yet half the time it is expressed through anne frank references. and after producing this, what have they done? they are left spent.
and everytime I play it and the horns kick in my wife says "Is this Beruit?"

Bwaha. Beirut is good but Mangum's shit is way more enjoyable to listen to.
