You do know that this is not the first time the Big Ten tried to expand to 12, don't you? The other time was in 1999. They offered one school and one school only. Do you know who that school was? I'll give you a hint, the football team wears gold helmets. And that school turned the Big Ten down cold. Once that happened, the Big Ten didn't offer another school for awhile.

Not a lot has changed, at least not from the Big Ten's perspective, when it came to expansion. Expansion in the Big Ten was all about first and foremost. Tell me you knew? And Notre Dame certainly brings plenty of that. Your claims about relevance notwithstanding, there's only one school in the country with a national TV contract, and it ain't Nebraska. Just sayin'.
