Yeah, kinda gay. But I'm pretty sure it's a test run for next season's Friday night opener vs Boise St.Screw_Michigan wrote:Ah, MSU opening at home on a Friday night. WAR BIG 11 TRADITION!
Friday night openers (and games in general) are gay. But I do remember MSU hosting Joey Ballgame and Oregon in 99 for a Thursday night opener and all the hullabaloo over it. So WGAF, I guess.MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:Yeah, kinda gay. I support as much football on tv throughout the week as possible. But, yeah, that doesn't mean I want to see MSU hosting Youngstown State on a Friday night on the BTN.Screw_Michigan wrote:Friday night openers (and games in general) are gay.

So how does it feel losing three in a row to a high school team, including twice in the big house?BlindRef wrote:Screw_Michigan wrote:Ah, MSU opening at home on a Friday night. WAR BIG 11 TRADITION!
Just completes the circle:
Sparty:
High School Fight Song
High School Tradition
High School Uniforms
High School Education
Now they play they games on Friday
Makes sense to me.
Make that 4 in a row. The skunkbears and their fat, sweaty coach will take a hearty beating in E. Lansing this year.Goober McTuber wrote:So how does it feel losing three in a row to a high school team, including twice in the big house?
Do you really want that?BlindRef wrote:I don't know what you're talking about.
We are heading into the 2008 football season right?
2 things. Leverage, or lack thereof. And the ultimate motivation: $.Killian wrote:Not sure what made them finally decide to start doing them again.
It's an NBC game, so I don't think they are making any more money out of the deal. The only thing I can think is perhaps because of recruiting. SO maybe that falls into the first reason. Either way, once or twice a year is cool. 5 times or more? Fucking dumb.IndyFrisco wrote:2 things. Leverage, or lack thereof. I wasn't thining of money going to ND. More along the lines of money going to NBC. Many games start at 8 PM EST. Start the game at 7:30 and you may get a window where the other games are at halftime and people click over to NBC for awhile. If the game is good, they may stick around. NBC may be selling the 8:30-9:00 advertising for a bit more.Killian wrote:It's an NBC game, so I don't think they are making any more money out of the deal. Actually the beatdown of the Cornholers commences at 7:00 PM, you goat-fucking hillbilly. At least in the timezone that both Wisconsin and Nebraska reside.bradhusker wrote:Did you guys take special notice at nebraska at wisconsin 800pm PRIME TIME!!!!!
GOOB, I'll take that bet every day and twice on sundays, Nebraska is gonna beatdown the badgers so bad, that it will make the texas chainsaw massacre look like a walk thru the tulips.Goober McTuber wrote:Actually the beatdown of the Cornholers commences at 7:00 PM, you goat-fucking hillbilly. Do you honestly believe for one second that Wisconsin will run wild on that blackshirt defense? Cause if you do, Ive got a bridge for sale in Brooklyn that you might be interested in. And I am a terrific salesman by the way. I could sell you a plate of steaming turds that you would salivate over.Goober McTuber wrote:Hey, brad, do you know what happened the last time Nebraska came to Camp Randall?
BTW, brad, if you don't start watching the game untill 8 PM, Nebraska will be so far behind, you'll only get to see Wisconsin's 6th and 7th stringers.
I assume you're talking about your posts. Sorry, not buying.bradhusker wrote:I could sell you a plate of steaming turds that you would salivate over.
