Wanted to see McElroy last night. Looked rough in the first couple of series. Lotta pressure from the Texans.

But, as the game progressed, he looked pretty damn comfortable in there. He looks like a solid NFL backup. Granted, it was game 1...against rookies and subs mostly...but what the hell...the kid looked good.

Dropped TD passes right on the money hurt his stats. Yet, a couple early throws floated and were short. Fumbled. Had a pick overturned by a penalty.

He's gonna be okay. You got a good 'un, Rex.
His old man works for the Boys. I was hoping they'd take a look at him in the later rounds but never happened. Not sure I am comfortable with McGee as a future backup once the 75 year old Kitna retires.
