LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson was involved in an early morning fight outside a local bar Friday, according to a report.

Baton Rouge police confirmed the news, according to the New Orleans Times Picayune.

Police are investigating whether Jefferson is a suspect or was a victim in the incident which happened between 1:30- 2 a.m. at a bar south of LSU's campus.

According to the report, four people went to the hospital , but Jefferson was not among them. Police said other unidentified LSU players were involved but were still investigating.

LSU officials have declined comment.

************

Rumor is that Jefferson was stomping a guys head as he laid on the ground and only stopped because a Marine jumped to the defense of the guy getting his head kicked in. Should be interesting to see what happens.

Since LSU's first game is vs Oregon it will be interesting to see how the grass eater handles this. I'm guessing he wishes Northwestern State was first on the schedule right about now, that way he could suspend Jefferson for the entire game and still win by 50.

While Derren Thomas has been in a couple of unfortunate locations, he's been charged with... nothing.

He was a passenger in a car going 118, that was alleged to have weed in it... yeah, better yank his schollie.

isnt this the 4th time he has been involved in an incident similar to this? How does Chip Kelly call him the best leader he has ever been around when he is seemingly riding shotgun to all of the incidents that Oregon players have with the law?

Could you Giggle that for me, Goobs?

Never mind, Mississippi actually has a website:
I'm shocked you were able to find it.

He was a passenger with Masoli when Dipshit got pulled over and busted for weed.

He was a passenger with Harris who was driving 118MPH, and a cop allegedly smelled weed.

Besides being young and having marginal judgement (like most of us did at that age), what "law" has he broken?

Ooooohhh, a youngster might have smoked some weed... in Oregon... stop the presses for this breaking news.

And bear in mind, simple possession of weed isn't a crime in Oregon... there is that.

Newsflash -- the blind-eye to the weed smoking is a huge recruiting tool.

"Come to oregon, we will do holograms of you in the locker room, let you trade equipment for weed, rent you cars no matter how old you are or if you have a valid license, pay dudes 30 grand to bang your mom and uncle Phil will pay you for life after you leave...
...you may never win a rose bowl or any other game of significance for that matter but hey, you'll get a parade for being #2"

and if you're caught in the wrong place at the wrong time 4 times in 3 years, you'll be deemed the greatest leader the head coach has ever been around.

If it doesn't come off the board, then all the money will be going Oregon's way from now on.

In other words, "standard operating procedure" for a circumstance such as this. But this is a guy who's shocked that a top 10 team is favored over hapless Georgia, so I can understand his confusion.

Gosh, you're right. Oregon should be a huge favorite in this game now, at least two touchdowns. LSU doesn't have a chance.
Pretty sure that wasn't said, nor was it even implied.

Sorry that your QB jeopardized your season the way he did.
