Students aren't going to re-distribute grades because high achievers are afforded more opportunity to become one of those top wage earners, where they will gladly* re-distribute their wealth according to their beliefs.

The other fail is the notion of a 4.0 GPA being excessive.

*they'll do it gladly when they aren't earning. When it actually happens may or may not be a different story.

in reality we all have the opportunity to earn the gpa and the money. My brother was valedictorian of our high school, went on to Yale, UCSF, Rockefeller university and now is teaching and researching at MIT and living in a million dollar house with his wife who is teaching and researching at Harvard. I suck at math and science but do well at english and creative areas. After high school I went to Texas State University and then moved out to Hollywood with my degree in english to persue becoming a writer or something related in the film business. I had no idea I'd become an actor but 11 years later I'm known as the World's Greatest Extra, been on Leno and can go on and on with the self plugs. My dad says I got the famous part down now I got to work on the rich part. I dont want my brother's wealth distributed to me he earned it. its his. I want to earn my own wealth. Sure I couldve studied more in school and strived for a higher gpa but I still think we all end up the same regardless.
