Nice read, thanks. I'll always pull for Skip and wish he had stuck around instead of leaving for UConn in 1994. Had he stuck around, he may have been selected to follow his father's tenure at ND. Then again, the administration at the time hated everything Holtz and he likely would have been screwed for Davie, anyway.

Holtz . . . admitted he didn't grow up watching Notre Dame on TV every week like most football fans have.
Ya think? I'm about the same age as Skip, and I remember as a kid most weeks there was one nationally-televised college game on ABC, that was it.
Nice article otherwise, though.
