I'm climbing aboard a plane on that very day and flying to the Pacific Northwest for a two week vacation. Somebody asked me if I was 'concerned' about flying on that day. HELL NO! How do you all remember and/or observe that somber anniversary?

Not sure what I will do other than settle in for the opening Sunday of the NFL season. I'm sure they'll trot out some troops, cops and firemen before getting back to the game.

I'm afraid it's going to be wall-to-wall coverage of 9/11 all week. The Sunday morning talking heads shows were already featuring it today.

It's fine to remember, and honor those who died and who have served, but let's move on, OK?

as far as being concerned with flying that, or any other day, i do have concerns. here's a few....

not being able to carry a tube of toothpaste, bottle of water, spray can of whatever on.

getting groped by TSA agents, unless said agent is hot, which i haven't experienced yet.

watching grannie have to take off shoes or be subject to the exact same treatment as 27 year old mustafa standing behind her.

Those who lost someone on 9/11 will grieve and remember. I doubt they want TV producers shoving it down their throats, and milking and commercializing it for all it's worth. It's di$gu$ting.

I was scheduled to return to Afghanistan on the 11th, but am postponing my flight until later that week. Say what you will, but an ounce of prevention is well worth a pound of cure.

My sister's flying back in from Ireland that day. I'm sure she'll be fine. It's not like the Irish are prone to terrorism or anything...

Yeah...best take every precaution before you go back and pull a tax-payer financed pay-cheque by helping your empire keep it's boot on the throats of innocent women and children, you fucking vampire.

Hey, if someone is going to profit from death, destruction, and misery, why not me? Besides, as a citizen of our 51st state, what do you care?

Go fuck yourself, you lowlife.

I mean that without an ounce of my usual humour and light-hearted playfulness.

You just squirted in your Taliban jammies, didn't you?

Go ahead, Marty. Stop quivering with poutrage and have a go at those bourgeois jannisaries if you like. No doubt they will crumble before your self-righteous fury...or perhaps not.

Enjoy your stay in Cargo container #25048534-CAN9/A. Thirsty? Have some water...

I'm doing the same, flying back to SEA from ORD. I didn't realize originally that the Sunday I was booking my return for was 9/11, but I'm glad I did. I've done several escorts of 9/11 artifacts, and I'll be missing out on another for that day. But the more i thought about it the more I liked the idea of doing something that is tacitly giving the finger to the fuckheads. And even if they did try something on a plane I was on, I'll gladly help them meet their 72 virgins (that actually look like trev) even sooner than they expected.

Killing Muslims on a plane is tricky work, Diego, not as easy as it sounds. It requires kung fu, motorcycles, pocket knives, flashlight, secret hiding place

I'll probably just spend the day being thankful that W captured and killed the 9/11 mastermind, Saddam Hussein.
