14 games later PSU still hasn't decided on a qb. Just play McGloin and be done with it. Bama rolls.

Last year, Alabama really was a lot stronger across the board. I am hoping that the disparity has lessened, but I doubt it. When PSU's coaches have doubts about the QB position, they go pretty conservative...meaning that the strength disparity becomes more apparent. Silas Redd is the best RB we've had since LJ, but this OL is nothing to shout about. Sorry, Silas. Even if our defense has improved over last year, they will be on the field quite a lot.
I think PSU will lose a run-focused game 24-3. I think a FG is likely since our drunken kicker will be back from the doghouse.

I think Penn State has a good shot if they play McGloin at QB. He seemed to add a spark to the offense last year, despite some costly decision making in big games.
I'll go with:
'Bama - 17
PSU - 10

Sammy, Bama/PSU is a classic for me because of this game:
I was in 7th grade, sitting about twenty rows above the EZ where the game ended...heck of a game to take in. CFB is a lot different these days...but I'm enjoying it quite a bit with my 7th grade son.
It's going to be interesting to see how many eastern PA fans can make it over...the Susquehanna is making a mess of things.
Enjoy the game, my friend.

My dad is reporting chaos with parking. It's going to be hard to get to the game because the farm fields that they use for parking thousands of vehicles pretty much have to be closed because of water, mud, etc.

So far PSU's intensity has made an impact on this game. They'll need to keep that up.

PSU played well against the run at first, but when Bama got the pass working, see ya.

Alabama looks beastly this year. I think PSU played a bit better this year, but the Tide played even better. It's hard to believe this series is over now, it seemed so impossibly in the future for so long...

about like everyone thought. Bama is a legit top 5 team and NC contender, PSU is the same patsy PSU has been for the last 5-10 years playing out Joe's string. no one is afraid of Penn State and they are never a threat to win the conference.
