The Hee Haws are a 3 pt favorite, yet Oakland obliterated them to the tune of 98-37 in the two games played last season.
Take the 3 pts.
Easy money.
Looking at the Haws, they are piss-weak in their front 7 v. the run.
I look for a large rushing yds total from the Raiders here - 130+.
Oakland will keep flogging away with the run and will DOMINATE the 2nd half of this game.
The 'duds have lost 11 straight in prime time.
That sick streak ends Monday night.
24-16.

Raiders with 190 on the ground - McFadden with 150.
Dungver with 38.
Oakland won it in the trenches.
Old Skool.
That's the story.
Raiders with 15 penalties for 138 yds.
Way too many STOOPID penalties.
It's the only reason the game was as close as it was, because the Silver and Black dished out a physical ass-whipping here.
Nice division road win to open the season.
Lookin' UP under Hue Jackson.

I wouldn't get too excited if I were you....it was Denver, not the Patsies
Denver's offense was everything I thought it would be, and less.....

I hear ya, Felix.
Denver's O-Line is poor and they have no running attack.
Orton can be a decent 'game-manager' type of QB, but he needs more help than he's getting.
They've got a couple decent receivers.
Oakland manhandled them on both sides of the line.
It's just one game, so we'll wait and see where the teams go from here.

Exactly, if it WERE the Pats the Raiders would've scored 35 last night. Of course the Patriots offense would've hung 56 on the Silver & Black. Crazy games all around. Damn!

Miami dodged a bullet by not trading for Orton. he may be the donk's best QB, but he still ain't a winner. He's just good enough to get you beat.

right now, it would probably be more like Norris Weese, a dude that used to have to run for his life....it certainly wasn't all Orton's fault...it's tough to throw when you've got 330 pound linemen draped all over you.....

Sebastian Janikowski kicked a field goal from 70 yards in pre-game warm-ups Monday night. Based on how he felt, he told Jackson that he felt comfortable from 65 yards in the game.
Jackson said he wasn’t thinking about whether Janikowski would make the 63-yarder he attempted just before halftime. “I have had people text me, ‘Coach, there was no emotion on your face,’ ” Jackson said. “What for? I knew the guy was going to make it. There’s no doubt. I was thinking what we were going to do at halftime.”
Janikowski said tying or breaking the NFL record — he tied Tom Dempsey and Jason Elam — was one of three goals he had when he entered the league in 2000. Playing for 10 seasons and winning a Super Bowl are the two other goals.
Two down, one to go, he said. “To be honest, I didn’t hit it that good,” Janikowski said after the game. “It barely got over the bar.”
bwaaa...
RACK!

From a skill postion standpoint, other than McFadden, there is nothing
McFadden is the centerpiece, for sure, but I actually think the Raiders have a lot of offensive weapons.
As more games are played, I think this will prove out.
I expect them to once again end up in the top 10 in the league in scoring.

They were 6th in the league in scoring last season... with J. Campbell and B. Gradkowski as the QBs.
They have more weapons this year.

It's one game, Felix.
And anyway, 23 pts on the road isn't too bad.
Last year Oakland averaged 25.6 a game.
I think they'll be around that number again this year.
They have a number of offensive players who can create mismatch opportunities, and that's what scoring pts is about.
As I said, wait and see.
I think it will be proven out as more games are played.

Do your own research if you don't know.
I'm not here to hold your hand.
Do you think a team scores 410 pts with Campbell and Gradkowski at QB just by wishing for it to happen? lol

Gradkowski is gone. So is Zach Miller. You've got a handful of dogshit at receiver, a journeyman slappy at QB and a couple of pretty solid running backs in McFadden and Bush. As a simple point of fact, you don't have more weapons this year.
You're looking at a BB gun and calling it a howitzer. It's fairly common delusion amongst Raiderfan during the month of September.

Big deal.
I didn't say they were the '99 Rams.

I'm looking for a breakout year for Jacoby Ford (although he might miss the Buffalo game with a sore hamstring). He was solid as a rook last year and it's clear by the Raiders' opening offensive plays in Dungver that Hue Jackson has built a number of plays around Ford's skills. He scored 7 TDs last year, averaging 60+ yards per score. Ford has ridiculous speed but out here in Clemson territory, he was overshadowed by Spiller. Still, I was glad the Raiders grabbed him with the 108th pick.
Too bad about Louis Murphy being out too. He was better than DHB last season and I was hoping to see him build on that.
Yeah, I would have loved to have seen Zach Miller come back. That guy is reliable as anyone. I'm not sure how much of a step down Boss is since I've barely paid attention to him prior to this year but in the preseason, he seemed decent.

Great to see you, FL.
Yeah, Ford is one of those guys.
He was just a huge playmaker over the course of the 2nd half of his rookie campaign.
No doubt the staff is looking for more of that this year.
Definitely one of those 'mismatch' guys, because when he gets in the open field, forget it.
Got a feeling he's gonna be OUT for Buffalo, though.
Short week and I doubt he'll be able to go.
Yeah, Murph and Boss back soon for us wouldn't suck much.
Slightly curious that we didn't see Taiwan Jones on the field at all in Dungver.
Maybe this week?
