Really awesome tackling here. Oh, and team speed too. Seems like Luck is faster than all of them
If Luck played for Cal, he'd be their best tackler.

<--- Not impressed. Buffs still trail by 3, but they've moved the ball well all game. Just need to stop the dumbass penalties and tighten up pass coverage and they could pull this one out of their asses...

Buffs take the lead on the Paul Rich show. probably need 10 more to win, imo.

KC,
You were pretty much spot-on last week in your assessment of the Buffs D - live by the blitz, die by the blitz. I don't really mind the strategy though. Secondary was supposed to be a weakness, so minimizing the QB's time in the pocket is probably smart, even if you're putting your inexperienced CBs on an island a lot. Better that than giving the QB all day to pick apart your coverage.
Kal scores to retake the lead. Lotsa time left...

Moniz rushes for more in one game than he did all last year. it was a solid gamble imo. much better than dropping 9 like they did with COllins and Okruch. CU's guys aren't going to see that on tape.

Hansen seems awfully averse to contact this year. I guess a ruptured spleen will do that to ya, but his running ability is supposed to be one of his strengths.

just as you say that, big 4th down conversion for TH.
Hawaii gave UW all they wanted in Seattle. no moral victories, but hey.

Welcome to the Pac where aggressive play is penalized every single time. Worst refs in football, at any level.

I can't really point to any calls that struck me as questionable. Ray Polk's late hit was just inexcusable, and most of the others have been false starts and holding calls - just a lack of discipline by CU.
Nice kick by the freshman. Headed to OT, most likely...

Barnett was on KOA railing on the penalties earlier.....and giving it up to himself, as usual. the 2001 Big XII Championship Team was honored today. hard to believe that was 10 years ago. "what a drag it is to get old..." to quote the Stones.
OT, bitches.

Props to Cal. They came through in the clutch. Hopefully CU can pick up a win next week. The opportunities are getting fewer and farther between...

God, that game was ugly.
Welcome to the PAC 12 officials.
Richardson and Hansen were amazing.
Congrats to the Buffs...

1st and 30 conversion and a FG after CU 1st and goal inside the Cal 5 in OT. that's not exactly stellar coaching/execution from the new CU staff. at least they admit their mistakes...unlike the previous crew.

I at least liked what I saw from the Buffs today. Pass blocking looked better, but the run blocking still needs work. Way too many penalties on both sides of the ball. Richardson is a legitimate game-breaker. He pretty much single-handedly kept CU in the game. I like our chances in the RMS.

33 points against the second coming of the Steel Curtain. CU should get a piece of the MNC right now.

well, that's what they are good at. sorry, Mike, it was too easy. no way G Tech could beat CU that year.
