Stanford and SOS

OK, the Cardinal have looked pretty good so far. They're 2-0, outscoring their two opponents 101-17. The defense has only allowed one TD in two games. But...this was San Jose State and Duke ferkreistsake.

The next nine games are in the Pac12. Three deece teams on the conference schedule...AZ, SC and Oregon. Wazzou...maybe. The only one that "should" be any challenge at all is Oregon, and obviously this is a big potential roadblock. OK, maybe I'm assuming a lot here but if Stanford is as good as they seem, and the Pac whatever is as weak as they seem, the Trees could run the conference schedule including the conference playoff. But with a SOS this weak, they could be 11-0 before their final regular season game against Notre Dame and still not ranked high enough to qualify for an invite to the MNC. Fucking Domers. They could have been Stanford's launch pad to the MNC. Sweep the conference and then beat a highly ranked ND team. Problem is ND sucks. As much as I dislike the molesters I'll be pulling for them to win their next 9 games.

SJSU and Duke are weak but you get some cred because SJSU is longtome Cali patsy and Duke is an "academic" schedule you can point to. not like playing Cal-Davis or Texas State...

however, the point you make is pretty real. Pac is not a powerhouse this year.

Ummm.... since you never watched the game with San Jose thinking it wasn't on TV... I did, as it was telecast-ed on CSN Bay Area.

Furd wasn't nearly as dominate as you would like to believe and even the Furd fan base happens to agree with me.

Stanford scored 28 points off of SJSU errors; without those points, Stanford wins 29-3 (and Stanford's first points were controversial enough that it's debatable whether the ball was intercepted in the end zone on the previous play by an SJSU defender)

Stanford only had 373 yards of total offense while allowing the Spartans 237; SJSU QB Matt Faulkner was actually outthrowing Luck in the first half.

The Cardinal was 5-13 on third down against a team that last year beat just one opponent.

The O-line was breached several times, allowing Luck to be blitzed and almost sacked a few times.

You really need to actually follow your team before you go spouting off... it makes you look like a bandwagon fan(which you are) being that you've only been posting in this forum the last couple, few years.

Pssst.... Stanfurd's won just 2 games against Cal over the last decade.... just to keep things in perspective.

I have no idea what this even means...

Ahhhh... do you have any idea what the hell you're talking about ?

UC Davis is more highly ranked academically than Vandy .

Oh, and trust me.... Stanfurd wants no part of playing UC Davis again.

48 - 14
(45 - 0 before mercy was declared)

You might as well just STFU.

Would be really funny if 12-0 Stanford got squeezed out of the national championship game by an 11-1 Boise State team.

Yeah but the 52-0 win over Cal will still be a worthwhile consolation.

Mikey made a funny...

Were you a Stanfurd fan a couple of years ?

You know.... when Cal went into Stanfurd's House and punched Andrew Luck, Toby Gerhart and the Furd in the face and danced all over their field and made it Bear Territory like they always do.

This video could be the most embarrassing video ever... well, there is that UC Davis video out there, so

48-14 motherfucker.

Have I been a fan for long? Well, let's see...I went to every home game the last two seasons that ended with Stanford winning the Rose Bowl. Prolly before your were born, son.

Want to talk ancient history? When was the last time Cal won the Rose Bowl?

What's the overall head to head record between Stanford and Cal, BTW?

At Berkeley Stanford leads 24–21–6
At Stanford Stanford leads 27–21–1

I would rather see Stanford represent the Pac instead of Oregon, the Cardinal are less likely to shit the bed on the big stage. Plus my nephew is going to be going to Stanford, broke his dads heart,

You may want USC to beat the molesters, a win vs an undeafeatd USC team may be better for the SOS than a win vs a 2 loss boy toucher team... if the Trojans can luck themselves in to the game Alterboy U without any losses
