I did it... the trigger

After flying back and forth from California to Kansas City every weekend over the last 3 months... I became bored and drove back riding the 80.

Bad Call....(bad truth) but still have my two houses and 7 acres in Nevada City, Ca., and did the last burn day before winter comes around.

Hit up my little bro... who just bought a place a couple years ago in Reno after living in Philomath (Oregon State) for the last 10 years.

On the way back to the Bay, I went to the bank with my little bro... and gave him $2,500 to drop on Cal for the Rose Bowl game this weekend.

At 4 and a half at LV Hilton...http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-foo ... las-vegas/

I'll be sleeping like a baby on Quaalude's... with a BUNCH of pocket change this weekend.

Seriously, where should I spend this... ???

Bad call, indeed.

I suspect a pretty good chunk of your trip – if it even ever occurred at all – was spent riding “the 70” back home. :meds:

You know, with Bonner and the Ren Fest being located right on freaking I-70 ‘n junk. BTW, what is this “the 80” you speak of? I would think that at least three months in these parts would have you cured of such curious colloquialisms…

Lemme get this straight: Let’s say you DID choose to ignore the super highway streaking past your wind chime booth; the easy eight hour drive to Denver; and short jump up I-25 to Cheyenne to pick up I-80, which is how anyone with a lick of common sense would look to make a road trip from here to NoCal.

Nope, you rode “the 80”.

I-29 right outta Kansas City, straight to Council Bluffs, one left turn and a smoove ride home. Well, that is, except for the 178 miles of two-lane cross overs, slow downs, and stoppages due to MODOT feverishly trying to repair the damn Interstate before winter after spending the last five months under the freaking Missouri River….

Wanna take another run at this one, Sparkles?
Seriously, where should I spend this... ???
A Garmin might make for a nice start. Oh, and a new copy writer for your troll wouldn't suck either.

beat me to it, though the road is/was far more heavily damaged north of the border. I reckon IDOT is working more overtime ensuring their lifeline to what amounts to civilization in the flyover. That stretch of road sucked before the Mighty Mo engulfed it, I shudder to think of making that drive today.

if you are choosing to "drive it" rather than fly it....no reason not to take 70 into Utah and then highway 50 ("the loneliest highway in america") through Nevada. that's beautiful country, remote. christ, 80 is even more dull than 70. plus, if you have any kind of real automobile, it's great fun driving up and down those valleys and mountains.

When he mentioned "riding the 80" and referencing leaving K.C. I quit reading, knew it was uninformed posting at it's finest.

Made that drive last month, though only as far as Fort Collins.

They got a new express/tollway outside Denver, past the new airport, avoiding downtown and hooking up with I-25 well north of the city. I imagine it cuts a good hour off that drive, both ways. Nary a toll booth to be seen. I'm like cool, the toll must be for the locals or some shit.

Wrong, I got the bill in the mail the other day. $18.00 - it was worth it, I think.

Many, many people have become rich using this betting technique.

Just need to be right 56% of the time in sports betting and you're golden.

m2's roadie story is completely believable. Why, last week I took I-80 to Hawaii. If you think I-29 was tough driving due to the Mighty Mo's flooding, you should try driving the Pacific.

From you?

You have nothing of value, troll, but I'll offer you a piece of advice:

Mix in a bit of homework and you might even come off as believable. Then again...

This is the "M2" troll we're addressing here. Never mind.
