That being said, Bama seems very strong but I seem to remember a few times when I had the same thought and they rolled over.

LSU seems to have a thing for pulling big games out when they shouldn't be able to.

Just to be contrary I'll say LSU 17-14.

Exactly. How Boise's SOS is ranked so highly is anybody's guess. Bama has two convincing wins over 8-1 teams from solid BCS conferences, and one of those was on the road.

I'm with Sam on this one, and for the same reason: Bama has a stronger, more reliable offense with that O-Line and Trent Richardson. They should be able to move the ball better on LSU's defense than LSU will against Bama's defense. Also, while having the home field hasn't proven to be much of an advantage in the past, most of that past does not include Nick Saban as coach of the Tide. Since he's brought Bama back to the pinnacle, yeah, home field in Tuscaloosa matters.

LSU does do really well on the road, though; probably better than any SEC team. The locale will matter less to them than it would to Bama.

Bama has covered each time I've picked them. I haven't looked it up, but they may have covered in all their games this season. Bama, Stanford and Houston have been my 'locks' in Pick 'Em, even though I haven't been smart enough to ride that Stanford train every week.

Les Miles is one lucky fuck, though. That guy definitely has an angel on his shoulder, so who knows?

Everything I've seen tells me Bama is the better team, although LSU may be the ballsier team. If it's close at the end, I guess that means LSU will win.

Hmmm. Okay...Bama 30-13...or LSU 19-16.

Are those Sagarin's SOS rankings or his team rankings? If it's the former, Stanford's inclusion makes no sense. If it's the latter, the other four make no sense.

According to Sagarin's most recent rankings, Alabama's SOS is 39 and LSU's is 18.

A difference of 21 spots is not at all a huge gap, especially when you consider the fact he ranks 246 teams.

Okay, I'll grant you the slight possibility that Stanford could beat this year's SEC winner. That's it. No one else has a shot. Oregon won't get it done. Oklahoma's pass-happy spread will get obliterated by those defenses. Okie St's defense will get destroyed. No one from the B1G or ACC need even bother making the trip.

It's Stanford or bust. If they lose before the title game, yep, just go ahead and make it Alabama-LSU Part II for the title.

Nov 4th is 'Bama vs LSU. If you've actually seen those teams play you would agree that they are the best teams in the country.

Did you know Boise State is #4 in the BCS rankings? Do you think Boise will lose another game in the weak WAC? I've also stated that Oklahoma (it's in Norman, OK as I've spent my Freshman and Sophomore years there) will most likely beat Okie State (OSU is in Stillwater a few hours north and east off the I-35).

So, the winner of the 'Bama/LSU de facto NC will most likely play Boise State in the BCS $$$ Bowl. So STFU already.

With their remaining schedules there's no way that Boise will pass Stanford, assuming that they both win out.
The Cowpies would still have to lose a game for either of them to get a shot.
