I think that goober is on the money, except for the TCU pick.
TCU still would have to move up a few spots in the BCS rankings AND see Houston lose before that happens.Jsc810 wrote:As a TCU grad, I don't want to see the Frogs play Bama. That would not be pretty.

As things stand now, Houston would have AQ status. Boise is still ranked ahead of Houston but they would have to win the MWC to get AQ status (they still could be considered for an at-large bid, though).
TCU is guaranteed AQ status this year if they're in the Top 16 and no conference champion from a non-AQ conference is ranked ahead of them. Essentially, they'd need to move up 3 spots and have Houston lose, then they're in.Felix wrote:Terry in Crapchester wrote:TCU still would have to move up a few spots in the BCS rankings AND see Houston lose before that happens.Jsc810 wrote:As a TCU grad, I don't want to see the Frogs play Bama. TCU is never going to make it to a BCS game with two losses....too many potential at larges from bigger conferences...
I see where you're coming from. Of course, there's a big dropoff from the BCS for MWC teams. They're looking at the Las Vegas Bowl (if TCU gets AQ status) or the Poinsettia Bowl if no BCS bid.Boise State-sure my rose colored glasses would love to see them get a BCS at larger berth....but honestly, they're pretty banged up and I don't think I'd like to see them go up against a potent passing attack....we've lost 3 db's for the year, with another sitting on the sidelines for at least the next game....BSU played 3 quarters against TCU with a red-shirt freshman and a true freshman manning the defensive back positions and you saw the results....bombs away...they'd get eaten alive by a team that can stretch the field....
TCU is going to need some help with some losses from teams ranked marginally above them if they expect to move up in the polls....they aren't going to move up by beating up on UNLV, or trashing a helpless Colorado State...but I'd be laughing my ass off at the AQ conference ball sucking homers that would be aghast at the thought of a 2 loss team from a non-AQ conference jacking a boatload of cash from an AQ conference who's 1 or 2 loss team gets locked outTerry in Crapchester wrote:
