Week 12 -
#2 Oklahoma State - Lost
#4 Oregon - Lost
#5 Oklahoma - Lost
#8 Clemson - Lost
New Top Five will have three SEC teams sitting in the top 3
1. LSU
2. Alabama
3. Arkansas
4. Virginia Tech
5. Boise State or Stanford
Okie Lite going down raised more questions than answers, but now that all OU and UO both went down, its simple...or is it?
LSU wins out, they will play Bama in a 9 inning pitchers duel.
LSU beats Arkansas but loses to Georgia...I have no fucking clue what happens then.
Arkansas wins out, Bama plays Arkansas in another SEC rematch.
Arkansas beats LSU but loses to Georgia...I have no fucking clue what happens then. LSU v Bama? Va Tech?

You could argue Bama's loss to LSU earlier this season was the best thing to happen to them. They're sitting in the best position by not playing in a CCG.

If that's the top 3, not only are they all in the SEC, they are all in the SEC West. Pretty sure that's never happened with any conference before.

Here's the deal, though. Why Arkansas? Sure, LSU and Bama are the two best teams in college football by a country mile, but what has Arkansas done to merit such a high ranking?
Seriously, look at this schedule...
Missouri St: A D1-AA smear of poop on a windshield.
New Mexico: Though the term gets thrown around far too often, these guys present a legitimate argument for being the worst team in all of D1 football.
Troy: Unless we're talking about the guys Brad Pitt attacked, they're strictly cannon fodder.
@Bama: The one good team on their schedule beat the living dogshit outta them.
ATM: They nearly lost to
Texas A&M! Do you have any idea how difficult that is to do?
Auburn: So, how's that post-Scam Knewnothing era going down there on the Plains?
@Ole Miss:
@Vanderbilt: Okay, maybe if this were a debate, or a battle of chess clubs.
South Carolina:
Tennessee:
Mississippi St:
Notice also that there were only three true roadies on that itinerary, and two of them were Ole Miss and Vandy.
So, lemme ask you: What above-average squad
wouldn't have gone 10-1 against that schedule?

houston is going to leapfrog boise state, so they very well could be sitting at 5, more likely to be stanford, but that blow out loss to oregon is going to hurt them...

Didnt they pass the rule that you have to win your conference to play in the BCS Title game? It will be a shame when the second best team in the country will not be allowed to play in the BCS title game because the 1st best team in the country won their Conference's title.
If they didnt pass that rule, strike that, it will be a snore fest of a BCS title game where soccer players decide who wins and loses

Figures you'd show up after an upset. I guess you're back on the USC bandwagon now?
I have shown up every weekend on here, win or lose. I have yet to go to a game this year but I Tivo'd all of them. May go to the game this week. Between my oldest sons High School Football and coaching my younger sons Pop Warner games as well as my wife being in and out of the hospital for the last few weeks, I don't have the time to sit on here and play fuck fuck games with assholes like you.
A bandwagon fan is someone who will support whatever team is winning at the time, I will only support USC, the school my wife and I went to. I support the school monetarily as well as emotionally, sometimes priority keeps me from attending games but I will not cheer for anyone else, wont even watch games that USC isn't involved in.
Championship game in a couple hours, need to make sure that neither of my sons lose a football game this year. Good day to you

Is a conference allowed more than 2 berths this year?

nope..only 2 are allowed from each conference. Unless there was small print pertaining to SEC schools.

Small print....
No more than two teams from a conference may be selected, regardless of whether they are automatic qualifiers or at-large selections, unless two non-champions from the same conference are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the final BCS Standings.
Not specific to SEC, but could work out that way.

No shit. What if Georgia beats LSU in the Cash Grab game? Now we'd have Georgia going to the Sugar Bowl while two teams who didn't win their own conference—including one team who didn't even win their own Division—would meet in the BCS title game.
How amazingly fucked up would that be? It could happen.

Exactly what I was saying. One of the ESPN honks pointed this out on Sunday.

How does LSU lose to a team that couldnt beat Boise State at Home and still remain in the top 2?

By having a large enough BCS points lead that they're able to absorb a meaningless loss to a relatively decent two-loss Georgia squad.
What, do you not recall OU in '03?
