Happy Thanksgiving PET...

So on a beautiful fall Texas afternoon with temps in the low 60's and only a few clouds in the blue sky the wife and I loaded up the girls (dogs) and headed out for a little hiking. We went to Enchanted Rock, granite outcropping in the Texas Hill Country.
Approaching the park

Closer view of the Granite from about 7.5 miles

At the base of the "Rock"

About halfway up the 1400 feet

Our Boxer taking a break on the way up

Our Dalmation wondering if she should smell the cactus any closer

Pools of water on top of "Rock"

Mining your new counter tops

View looking East

View looking West to another "Rock"

View heading into the small canyon between the two "rocks"

Fracturing of the granite this is how it errods, has something to do with the freeze thaw cycle

Girls resting after the 6.5 mile total hike

I guess I could add some photos of us watching football, but you prolly saw/see enough of that around your house as it is.
Anyway Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours today.
