Dyer - suspended from Peach Bowl.

Seriously? The Peach Bowl? You're equating losing Dyer for a single dogshit bowl game no one cares about to losing Matt freaking Kalil for his senior season? Auburn was shitty this year with Dyer, and it's just the Peach Bowl anyway, so what difference does it make?
At least Ted Roof is GONE, and Chizik will be calling the D plays. :D
I'm really failing to see the comparison here. A meh Auburn team is losing people they won't miss at all, and this compares to losing Top Five NFL picks for their senior season...how?

See, even though they say they'll make their decisions independent of the other's, Kalil leaving early means it's a whole lot more likely that Barkley will also leave early. That would take USC from a preseason Top Three to...WGARA.

What with the loss of thirty schollies over these next three years—think about that shit for a moment, especially in light of all the much worse crap that's been going on college football in recent days—USC simply cannot afford to lose their current scholarship players. Their cupboard is about to become really bare really quickly.

Goddammit, I'd love to see a team comprised of all the guys who left early these past few years. USC has to have had way more than their fair share. It's getting to be like college fucking hoops over here. All these guys constantly leaving early is killing any chance of ever having a team with any depth, much less any talented senior leadership.

An NFL farm team losing a guy early to the draft? I don't believe it.

Kalil is a redshirt junior this year, right?

Is he graduating?

Looks like the same deal as Andrew Luck.

Mikey, I believe the answers are yes and yes.

Sam, he's projected as possibly being the second pick in the draft, so he's probably going somewhere like Minnesota or St. Louis.

Now, assuming he's also taking a pay cut to go there, would you rather have USC Song Girl/USC Coed Pussy, Nanooka of the North Frostbitten Pussy, or 314 Ghetto Pussy?

A writer for Sports Illustrated tweeted yesterday: "Sources tell me Nick Perry/DE-OLB/#USC has signed with an agent."

Barkeley should be gone also come Jan. 15th.

Yep. Combined with all those schollie losses over the next three seasons, christ, if UCLA can't step up and fill this void, they're hopeless.

But Cal needn't get too excited. They're still never going to win dick.

You tried that one already. Guaranteed me, even. USC finished Top Five in recruiting that year, and Cal barely scratched the Top Twenty.

And, umm, M2? You do realize that USC only has fifteen scholarships to hand out this year, right? The funny thing is their fifteen will still end up being better by far than your twenty-five. They won't be as good as Nick Saban's forty-five, but they'll be better than Cal's twenty-five.

The answer is no, since it's not even remotely fair to try to compare fifteen to twenty-five. The funny thing there is your list shows USC ranked higher than Cal!

Also, you know Kiffin/Orgeron are going to outrecruit Cal down the stretch.

Cal doesn't have much problem winning dick.

M2, you always say that, and it never happens. Besides, if someone leaves USC for Cal, it just means they ain't shit. Losing someone to Bama or Oregon, yeah, that can hurt. Losing someone to Cal? He wouldn't have cracked our starting lineup. If he would have, he either doesn't leave USC for Cal...or he's a pussy who wouldn't have panned out anyway.

Always remember, it's Cal.

Come on Van....don't you know that if Cal has a higher ranked recruiting class than USC it means that they'll beat them on the field. You haven't been following the logic much lately have you? Just look at the facts from the game this year. Scoreboard don't mean shit. 30-9...seriously. cal had as many 1st downs at SC. Cal had 16 more total yards than SC, cal had 99 more passing yards than SC. Cal had 5 turnovers. therefore Cal wins. Now that they have a recruiting class that people think is ranked high they'll win again next year even though the scoreboard will read 45-10 in favor of SC. Mstool will once again come in here and claim scoreboard because Cal had less penalties than SC.

It's also beginning to sound like the exact sort of thing for which USC was admonished by the NCAA. Too many hangers-on around the program, so now USC has to pick and choose which former players they'll allow to be there. Can only have so many, to the point that Rey Maualuga wasn't able to hang with the team before one of the games this year because Ronnie Lott and Marcus Allen were already there.

Some serious bullshit.

You can stroll into any bar in any major U.S. city and find hot chicks. No matter the town, pro athletes won't need to settle for pasty fuglies anytime soon. And if that's not enough for Mr. Kalil, there's always the off-season where he can spend all his time in SoCal if he so desires.

Ummm... you're becoming very JSCesque.

You have no idea who the hell his brother is and why he didn't play this year, do you ???

Let me help you out with your team, shall I ?

His brother would have been a 3 year starter this year and one of the best players on a team that is loaded with NFL talent... if he hadn't got injured and medical red-shirted this year.

And as of today he is 100% healthy and ready to transfer to a much better school (Cal) that is stacking up talent at an astronomical rate.

You do know who Armond Armstead is right ???

Of course I do, and he hasn't done shit at USC. He's been moved all over the line and missed portions of all three seasons at USC, not including last year's medical redshirt.

From your own link, dumbass...

"Former coach Pete Carroll saw greatness in Armstead as a 295-pound strong-side defensive end. But he was never quite right after breaking a bone in his left foot during fall camp before his sophomore season."

No shit. The one year he started ten games (2010), USC's D was horrible, and he was a large part of the reason why. He wasn't going to do shit next year either, so suddenly he's talking about transferring to a place where he can play more. Big name coming out of high school who underachieved like crazy at USC, and why on earth do you think he's thinking of transferring for his senior season?

Typical Cal "get."

Yeah, and if Barkeley had transfered to Cal... he would have been the worst QB in the history of U$C and you would have never of wanted him, right ?

Typical Toejam.

So, his little brother Arik Armstead who is ranked as the top high school football player in the country per Scout...

... http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p= ... id=4266803

Just isn't good enough for U$C NOW because he decided to de-commit from SuC and and play at a better school ?

am I hearing you right ???

Re: Well...fuck.

No, you're not hearing me right. In and of itself, losing Armond would be no big deal. If he stays, great, he'll be another big body on a thin line that just got thinner with Nick Perry leaving early for the NFL. If he goes, it'll simply be another hit to the depth of the line.

Bottom line, he's not a star. He's not going to be one of our NFL 1st rounders, nor has he/will he tear it up during his senior season. He's just another guy who could help Cal go 7-5 again.

Losing his brother would be another story, or so it seems. Because USC refused to play Armond last year following concerns over his heart condition, his dad got all bent out of shape. Well, good for Kiffin and the USC staff for not risking a kid's health when a medical redshirt was available to him. Will that decision cost them Arik? Yes, it may. If so, that would be the greater loss.

Then again, coming out of high school Armond was considered to be every bit the prospect that Arik is right now, so who knows how Arik will turn out? Lotta 5-Stars simply never pan out.

All in all, though, yeah, I'd much rather see Armond stay put, just so his brother would also stay put. Arik says that despite decommitting from USC they're still in the running, and he does love the coaches there. I guess it remains to be seen whether Kiffin and company can mend the fences with Armond and his dad, in which case I'm sure Arik will return to the USC fold.

Either way, Cal will still be Cal.

Throw another one on the pile...

The #3 running back in the country... http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/r ... ter-103728
“Cal is my leader; I loved it there,” Foster said. “I have a lot of family in Oakland, and my mom actually grew up in Berkeley. I’ve been there before, but this was really my first time seeing Cal up close, and it was incredible. The campus is great and I loved the overall atmosphere there. The facilities are incredible and easily the best I’ve ever seen.

“The coaches offices, the locker room and especially the weight room are really impressive. I got along great with the players on the team and really felt a family atmosphere there. Avery Walls was my host, but I hung out a lot with the older guys on the team too. The running back Isi Siofele and I talked a lot and he’s a real cool guy.”

And yes.... Avery Walls is the son of the Dallas Cowboys legend.

... and DJ has already done the QQ roadie... so, he knows what he's talking about when it comes to Cal's new facilities.

Now I'm really wishing Kalil and Perry had decided to return for their senior seasons. With the coming gutting of the roster due to thirty missing scholarships over the next three years, 2012 is going to be USC's last hurrah. Sure would've been good to have our best O-lineman and best D-lineman. Including those guys the 2012 team would've been really talented, even if they still would've lacked depth. Talent plus senior leadership would've meant an appearance in the Pac 12 CCG, minimum, and possibly much more.

Now? They should still achieve the former. The latter is more of a reach.
