Are iPod touches obsolete?

I just got promoted to senior vice jizz-mopper and I've been thinking about getting an iPod touch. I have an old Nano that still works, but I dropped it in September and you need to push down the white piece of plastic on top to slide the hold button. I think the full functionality of it is pretty cool, it's obviously a smaller iPad.
I am debating whether to get just a new Nano or spend the money on the touch? Any thoughts, fuckers?

I think Apple products are perfectly suited to people such as yourself.
Enjoy.

No shit.
Here's a hint -- if it says Apple on it, it's outdated and obsolete before it ever hits the shelves.
But tards will be trards, and there will always be a market for vastly inferior products that cost at least triple what the competition charges.
Here, I'll help you out, Dipshit -- if you're into a device like an IPod Touch, they came out with these new dealios... they're called "smartphones" (and yes, Apple generally uses the technology every other manufacturer rejected 2 years ago). And they have these things called "memory cards." These "memory cards," when shoved in the side of the "smartphone," give you unlimited storage capacity when you use the "smartphone" in its capacity to be a "MP3 player."
Oh, wait -- MP3 is a universal format that works anywhere -- Appledouche isn't in to nonproprietary stuff that actually works across enemy lines... the "enemy" being anyone with a lick of common sense.

Shithead, smartphones are notorious battery wasters. I use my phone for calling, texting, weather, sports scores and maps. That's it. Last thing I need is a music player to waste my battery even more.
Kindly fuck off now.

I use my old blackberry for the few times I need an mp3 player whilst walking around. Great battery time on the blackberry. The only time I use my 5 year old iPod is with an adapter for long car rides. For phone, I use my droid.

Yeah, I'll plug that charge into the imaginary outlets that are plentiful on city streets and on subways.
Fucking idiot.

A thousand :facepalms: to you, moron.
No wonder you're considering Apple products -- you're technologically ignorant.
Couple questions for your retarded ass...
How the fuck long is your commute that you think a phone will die on the train?
Maybe you should consider moving into the same time zone as your job.
And since "smartphones" and "flash cards" befuddle your capacity for technology to the point you think Apple shit is worthy of consideration, it leaves me in something of a quandry here -- every board needs its tards (and one in particular needs "it's tards"), and losing you would leave a major void in that area...
So I'm not sure I want to risk having your Moving Sale-sized brain exploding by bringing up that thingy they came up with a few years ago called a "battery powered phone charger."
Jeebeez you fucking suck.
