Where would someone find the California HS playoff brackets?
I am assuming there is some sort of playoff.

Here's the games that started last night and are going on today.
http://www.cifstate.org/index.php/compo ... bowl-games
The last game starts in about an hour, so that would be 10pm Houston time tonight.
It's the Big Boy game in California (Open) and pits the best teams in California
You can watch a live stream here.
http://www.socal101tv.com/prepsports/
Northern California/Bay Area (De La Salle) vs. Southern California/just North of LA (Westlake)
Westlake crushed Oaks Christian last week, but Oaks had some late cosmetic scores at the end of the game to make it look close.
De La Salle absolutely smoked San Ramon Valley at the Oakland Coliseum last week as well.
Westlake looked amazing in punishing a higher ranked Oaks Christian... but, De La Salle is, well De La Salle.
Look for the Bay Area to crush LA again this year. Should be a great game.

Can't find a bracket like that.
I did hear that Lake Travis won their 5th in a row.
That's a solid program they have in hill country outside of Austin.

Well how many rounds does it take to crown a state champ? Here in Texas we are crowning state champs this weekend also. This is the 6th and final round of the playoffs.

California has more schools than the second largest state (pop. wise) in the country (Tejas) .
So much so... that it becomes a mish mash and a cluster fuck.
Being that math has always been one of my favorite subjects and what compels most to head to a school such as Cal to become engineers... etc.
I'm trusting that a fine institution such as Rice has produced a scholar that can put together the info that I'll provide and can put it together.
Take this link...
http://www.cifstate.org/
... and go to the bottom of the page... and look for ( Regional CIF Section Offices - Official Websites )
I'll click... North Coast Section... since that's where I played when I was a McDonald's All-American back in the day.
Here ya go...
http://www.cifncs.org/
Highlight "Sports" and click "football" and you'll come up with brackets.
If you can put together a bracket like they have in Tejas... with California having twice as many schools ... I'd be rather impressed.

So it's like I thought, Cali doesn't have true state champs. Given your statement that CA has more schools all the more reason to have a true playoff like TX.
It really is pretty simple, separate the private and public schools, since private schools can recruit. Then create 32, 64, or even 128 districts or conferences. Then the champion of each makes the playoffs. Then play it off for a true champ. I would also suggest separating the schools based on size so a large school isn't in the same bracket as a very small school.

Did anyone else see the video they showed from the blimp where a substation blew up on the left side of the picture a block or so from the stadium? I rewound that and watched it a couple of times.

Yeah, I saw that and it just pissed me off. Reminds me of the neighborhood my wife and I lived in when we were first married. We were one of 103 houses that were (controlled?) by a transformer that was undersized for the summer load. I can't count the number of times I would come home in the summer and the electricity would be out. We would just turn around and go out to eat and hope the transformer was replaced by the time we got back from dinner. If not we would usually head to one neighbors back yard where there was a pool.
It got so bad that one time they replaced the same transformer 4 times in a day. I remember people being so pissed that the utility wouldn't "right size" the transformer that we all agreed we would turn on as many electric devices as soon as the transformer blew. It wouldn't cost us anything since no power was going to our homes, and what usually happened was as soon as it was replaced and the utility threw the switch, it would fail within 30 seconds.
An attorney was hired to see about forcing the utility to solve the issue, but we upgraded houses about that same time and it no longer mattered to us.

Ummmm.... did you even read the links I provided ???
California has divisions from 1 to 5 as provided in the links I posted for you.
Division 1 is the largest schools... and division 5 are the smallest schools.
Psst.... they don't play each other...
Let me know if I need to clarify it more for you.

....pssst....
I got that. What I didn't see was a separation of public and private. THEN you could still have divisions between those.
Should have gone straight to LAX player for my Cali HS info.

That's ridiculous... there's no need to separate private and public schools in California.
Grant and Poly are year in and year out two of the best high school teams in California and the country and both are PUBLIC schools.
I should have been discussing this topic with someone other than a "Texan"...

Damn you talk out of both sides of your mouth,
at the same time!
You wanted a true playoff like Texas, I provided the blue print, you counter with there is no need for separating despite your earlier claim of double the number of CA schools saying some of the powers are public, then top it off with a link to a story where a public school lost to a private school for the so called title.

Oh, and in the story link you provided it shows SoCal has a 17-9 edge in these so called State Title games since they were started in 2006.
Also, since you don't think there is a need to separate the public and privates, why don't you tell me who is the public powerhouse in Mt Diablo Unified School District?

Your work is done? Wow, you really are out of touch.
So two traditional powers are publics. You were the a hole that wanted to know how Cali could have a real playoff like Texas. I gave you the answer.
I understand this is my fault for engaging you instead of LAX, but claiming your work is done is quite rich.

Once again, since YOU brought this up... where in the hell did I say "Cali" wanted to know how it could have a "real" playoff game.
I'll be waiting a hell of a long time for this answer as well as the one I asked for in the link provided.
P.S. Good luck on the marriage and the house sale.
It's gonna be a bitch trying to sell that place in Missouri City.

Oh, and since you are trying to run house smack, we had multiple offers on our house in SUGAR LAND within 48 hours of the listing and made a profit, thank you very much.

Shit for brains... you've yet to show me where I asked how California can have a state championship game like tejas.

The freaking bracket you asked for leads to the true championship. Why are you the only person in America that doesn't get it?
As for your claim of bode on smartness that's just too cute. I am sure if I challenged you to a jeopardy type contest you would just duck it like you did the Triathlon challenge I issued a few years ago.

If this wasn't directed at me, ie involved another board poster, your post would have been immediately edited and then sent to the admins to consider for a time out.

Easy there... Lefty.
I'm a fan of both Cougar high and Rice (being that my girlfriend at the time was accepted to Rice as the top high school student in Houston at 16 years old, back in the day)
Also, seeing Pink Floyd in Rice Stadium and having the view of the Houston Skyline while on mushrooms will always be a plus.
University is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Houston... being that it's across the street from the museum area and down the street from the medical center and such.
You just seem a tad too insecure to be a man of merit.
