10 is less than 12. In fact, it's a full 20% less. Nonetheless, you never accounted for that every time you did your SEC/Pac comparisons regarding each conference's number of draft picks, All Pros, Pro Bowlers, total players in the NFL, etc.

Now it's 12 against 12, and we got stuck with a former non AQ as one of our 12 ,with lowly Colorado being the other addition. Would've much rather picked up OU and Texas.

But why bother doing any of that? It's now 12 vs 12, so when you do your comparison why not just leave it at that? When it's 14 vs 12 next year, well, we'll be right back to the same situation as before. You'll try to compare them as if 12 = 14.
