The Saints beat them by two scores in the game this year but that was without Suh, Stafford was still dealing with the messed up finger and the penalties/mental mistakes hit an all-time low for the season. Burleson had two or three OPI calls against him and there were some dumb personal foul calls when the game started to get away. Delmas and Aaron Berry are back at practice and I'd assume both guys will be back for Saturday. Aside from being thin at running back, they should be close to full strength for the game. Fairley filling in for Suh was very good in the first half of the game before his foot injury flared up again.

Seeing Flynn (without Jennings) light them up on Sunday was disturbing...Brees in a controlled enviroment with all his offensive players is scary to think about. Stafford put up the best ever for a Lions QB...damn near passed Marino's old high water mark for yards after his crazy game Sunday. Stafford doesn't hold a candle to the level of efficiency Brees has been at for several years now but he's got arguably the 2nd best passing attack going out of the 8 teams playing this weekend. This to me will be the most entertaining of the games the wild card. I think this game could have more points scored in the 1st quarter than what will be scored in the entire Steelers-Broncos game.

Saints should win but the Lions will cover...3-7 point bulge and don't be shocked to see Stafford match Brees in TDs and yards thrown after it's all said and done. What will kill the Lions will be the lack of a running game, the Brees' ability to convert on third down and I just don't trust this team's ability to play a disciplined game when it matters. The Lions have won big this year when they can turn teams over and score points off turnovers but Brees won't make critical mistakes and the Lions absolutely cannot turn the ball over and expect to hang with them. If Brees can do his thing, the Lions don't quite have enough to outscore them but it'll be close.

Saints 31, Lions 27

The problem for Detroit is that they might match Stafford's passing yards with penalty yards. Dirty and undisciplined is no way to go through an NFL season.

They're obviously a better team than the Raiders. The Raiders killed their season with penalties more than the Lions. The Lions are talented enough to overcome some of their mental mistakes. Raiders went beyond shooting themselves in the foot...they shot off their leg up to the kneecap. Honestly though, how many teams win when they commit 50+ yards in penalties? In a close game, those hidden yards matter. Especially against a team like the Saints who are deadly on third down. If you have them at 3rd and 4 and you jump offsides...those are killers. I'll be curious to see if they keep the penalties down on Saturday and see if that gives them a better shot at winning. Obviously, it won't hurt their chances.

I'll be pulling for the Saints. I've seen enough of Schwartz's angry little boy face.

Cincy at Houston - current line Hou -3 I like the veteran presence of Jake Delhomme in this game and he should get the start. Bengals impress me as a team that had had to play in a tough division but other than that, they are still the Bengals. Texans win at home and cover.

Det at New Orleans - current line New Orleans -10.5 Saints will cover here. Saints are kicking ass right now and will have an easy time with the Lions.

Atlanta @ NYG - current line Giants -3 Matty Ice is going to buttfuck the fraud Giants in this game and thank his lucky stars that he didn't have to travel to Big D to get his first playoff win. Falcons win by 10.

Pitt at Denver - current line Pitt - 8 Steelers are still the team to beat in the AFC and they are nicked up a bit but shouldn't have much trouble beating the Broncos. Pittsburgh wins but doesn't cover.

Det at New Orleans - current line New Orleans -10.5 / big spread here. New Orleans to win but think the Lions can cover

Atlanta @ NYG - current line Giants -3 / I'll take the Falcons to win outright here. Giants have been Sybil this year and their pass D looks ripe to be carved up by White / Jones / Gonzalez

Pitt at Denver - current line Pitt - 8 / Pitt to win and cover. Denv could be one of the worst offenses ever to make it to post season

RACK all of these awesome takes!!!

He's saying he went 2-2...which, for YaFJ, should be considered a massive accomplishment.

Hell, I went 2-2 just blindly picking against him. No other criteria considered.
