That movie was made due to my 7th grade class and the 8th graders sending in a petition making that book into a movie. Most of the unknown actors at the time showed up to my junior high for a photo op and showing. If you don't believe me watch the movie and look at the end credits. I have a DVD with them being at my school. Patrick Swayze was the coolest of the bunch.
