Mikey, yep, that's the one. Just passing along something funny that was sent to me by a woman for whom I edit. It showed up just fine here for me.

I'll help you out (in layman's terms) -- pics, and everything else in your inbox, has a "secret code" (object identifier) which makes it so only you can read it.

And even if it's not in your inbox, if hotlinking isn't allowed for an image, you'll still see it where no one else does. When an image (or anything else) comes up, your browser checks to see if it's in your cache before it bothers downloading it again.

Log out of your email, and clear your browsing history, and reload this page... you'll see a red X, too.

But you still get the :facepalm:.
