Great awareness by Thomas...by the naked eye, that didn't look like an obvious touch.

Has any single player ever so thoroughly lost a game before?

I don't know, but Cundiff and Williams definitely know how to put the special (Hi, 'tards!) in special teams.

Both games were very closely matched...it sometimes comes down to a guy making a collosal error to tip the scales. The 49ers were good enough to win...they lost because of two mistakes by a backup return man. If that's Ted Ginn back there, I'm sure we're not talking this today.

Early take on the SB46...if Gronk isn't healthy, I love the Giants. If Gronkowski is seriously hurt and can't go, I was thinking the champ was going to come from that NFC game last night.

Alex Smith simply isn't clutch. That's why the Niners lost...

Anyone else have the great pleasure of having a bunch of Facebook fliends who happen to be niner fans?

I've had some fucking article resent by five different people talking about how Williams teammates had his back postgame. I've had more saying that you should blame all these other factors for losing before you blame the loss on the fumbles. There's also that faction that suddenly remembers that they are supposed to hate Alex Smith and said the blood is on his hands.

It seems like there ninerfan is offering up all these excuses just to dance around the real reason they lost...........the kid fucking choked.

You can point to any stat to find and alternate excuse why teams lose. If they converted more third downs. If they went to the wideouts more. Well if my aunt had balls she'd be dipping them in Screw Michigans mouth. It doesn't matter. Kyle Williams mental fuckups directly led to the loss of that game. There's no two ways about it. But people out here don't want to call it a choke job and they don't want to have anyones feeling hurt. This is professional football. There's no juice box waiting for you on the sidelines. Just call it what it is and move on to the next year.

Ninerfans............pussies.

Exactly.

Two screwups led directly to 10 points. Even beyond those two plays any iodot could tell he was clueless out there, from the first (I think) punt where he dove for a bounding ball that hadn't been touched yet and could very easily have muffed it to several where he called for a FC with 20 yards of open field.

He should have been pulled after the very first punt and replaced with somebody that has good hands and instructions to FC everything.

Yup. And it ain't even close.

Neil O'Donnell, SB XXX. Quarterback for the cowboys errrrr, I mean Steelers. MVP went to his favorite receiver that day, some CB for the cowboys. Personally, I think it should have been awarded to them jointly.
