Lost me.

But I'll go with the state attorney general's office.

Pass the info along to Orly Taitz. I hear she's not doing anything.

Did T1B's Resident Counselor (only sane one, anyway) just suggest blackmailing a public official?

You, sir, are da'man.

Papa Willie wrote:As far as what me and a few others have noted - it is against the fucking law to fund/support a private museum with public tax money.

Wow, that was pretty anticlimactic.

City of Portland (I believe the whole state) has laws against public utilities using funds for anything but delivering said utility. The Water Bureau has built a "green" energy-saving house for display purposes (shitty little house for $700K... hmmmmm.....), renovated a building for a nonprofit to use, and all sorts of shit.

The city council and the state AG (who has a D by his name, like the whole city council) think it's funny.

Don't even get me started on the corruption the D's get away with here. Like the Guv's live-in girlfriend (yup, has his much-younger concubine living in the Governor's Mansion) is a "green energy" contractor... whose "nonprofit... WINKWINK" company gets the state contracts, while throwing in the highest bids. It goes on and on, but as long as it's a D, it's done with impunity.

BTW -- Congress is back up to 435 reps (I think) -- you'll never guess which letter my new rep has by her name? Be very afraid -- as a state rep, Bonamici was a straight-up party-line voter... 100% record (high 90's, anyway). Could have sent a chimp to do that (wait, we did in David Wu).

Face it, 'spray.

The element is "raiding the plantation."

See your future in the present state of Birmingham.

Oddly enough, the Georgia Music Hall of Fame closed it's doors last fall because nobody would lift a finger for them. The Georgia Sports Hall of Fame is here as well - barely getting by, and they're not getting ANY help like the Tubman Museum is.

It's a buncha shit.
Harriet Tubman did more for this country than all of your cracker athletes and musicians put together.

Not to mention one of the highest sewer and water rates in the nation.

Business as usual in the U & L. Of course the AG is a D as well, so do what you can and no problem there. The state hiring "freeze" the Govner put on, well in less than a month, "emergency exceptions" were made and over 1000 positions filled. The Gov and his squeeze are actually living in Portland most of th time and the State Police drive him back and forth to Salem each day, 55 miles each way in a State Police unmarked Lincoln. They use Mahonia Hall for official functions and all that, but live in Portland.

The public employees delivered big time in this election. 34% voter turnout. Over 35% government employees in Oregon. Until more people non government people get out and vote, the public employees and government honks will continue to fucking landslide very election like they did this one. Another reason why there will never be PERS, (retirement funding) reform, because the AG, the judges are all under the greatest retirement system for public employees in the country. Little incentive for reform there. 105,000 PERS retirees in Oregon, probably another 50,000 public employees, add in at least one more vote for each one and you have a voting block of over 200,000. Suzanne Boner won by about 30,000 over the Republican. Pretty easy to do in this state.

You have to excuse Gobbler there..they have not seen a black person up there is quite some time. Good to see that things have changed in the south.

Our racially diverse area is over 47% messican...I hear there are blacks in Portland, Dins probably sees a few up in St Johns area.

Can I get a hell yeah !

This is the kind of shit we see here a good bit. 7 blacks run a train in the middle of school on a "special needs" black. How are we so sure that no whites are involved?

http://www.highschoolsintheusa.com/high ... 0042001943

That's right - out of 350 Juniors & Seniors, there are TWO white boys that go there. NO white girls. Our black superintendent is trying to sweep this shit under the rug. He's from Haiti, can barely speak English, and has already been run out of Rochester, MN for being a crook.

Hopefully this will give you a taste of what it's like down here as opposed to living in "God's Country".
If I had the misfortune to live in the anal cavity of the United States, I am thinking one of these would be a high priority.
