Too bad for him..great job and life..those Lancairs seem to crash a lot, I can remember at least 3 here in the Northwest in the last 3 or 4 years. Fuckin experimental planes..I will stick with the tried and tested models. Sucks for him and his family....RIP..peace to the family.

Wonder if he assembled it himself? Also wonder if it was really on fire, or if there was just some flames after rotation due to recent work? Sometimes some gas/oil wont get completely cleaned after engine work and it ignites after takeoff.
