brad, it all depends on how you define greatness. Some people define it as having a stable family, being faithful to your wife, being loving and attentive to your children, not abusing drugs, and taking care of yourself so that you don't die a premature death.

In that sense, Elvis was a total failure. Many people on this forum are enjoying much more greatness than Elvis ever did.

IN STRONG CONTRAST. Police usually had warrants for Tupac's and Biggie's arrests. In nearly every city, detectives were conducting open investigations into both men. Both men were known felons, and each were considered to be the scum of society.

So, there you have it, no sane person could ever possibly equate Elvis with the scum you posted.

Unfortunately for him and his legacy, peanut butter, barbituates, bloated jump suits, sheer lunacy, utter irrelevancy, and a final demise resplendent with his underwear around his knees as he lay toppled beside a toilet put paid to such notions.

Elvis became equal parts cautionary tale, gory punchline, and beloved icon.
