Sparano likes him for the Wildcat option. With the Jets having just signed Sanchez to that extension, Tebow has no shot (short of injury) of being the starter there. He'll be used the way he should be used, as a gimmicky change of pace, especially in short-yardage downs.

Oh really? Is Sanchez that much better than Kyle Orton? I don't think so. I could easily see "Sanchise" getting the hook if he continues to suck as badly as he did last year.

Yes, Sanchez is that much better than the Kyle Orton who played for the Broncos last season. Despite all his detractors, Sanchez actually put up career-best numbers in 2011. The problem was that New York didn't have the running game or the defense they boasted in his first two seasons.

Beyond all that, Rex Ryan loves the guy. Beyond all that, he's much better than Tim Tebow, and the Jets aren't about to go to an unsustainable college offense the way the Broncos did to accomodate him.

They do, and now they're going for the below average quality ones. Sanchez is average, at best, and Tebow is striving to attain that level.

Unfortunately those "career best numbers" also include blown leads and poorly timed turnovers.

I guess Rex still hasn't forgotten the humiliating buttfucking that Tebow gave his underachieving shit team last year. Adding a player with good character and a professional work ethic will probably be a breath of fresh air in a locker room full of complete shitheads.

It's good move assuming the deal goes through. They can use Tebow like a closer. Let Sanchez play the first 55 minutes and then send in Tebow for the last 5.

Supposedly they like the idea of using Tebow in short-yardage situations, and especially near the goal line.

Desperate thy name is Jets. This is only interesting because of the freak show element. They share a stadium with the champs...this was a 'hey look at me' trade.
