The believer has tremendous status, authority, and blessings.


Acts 1:1 - Jesus is the Christ
Acts 1:3 - The Kingdom of God is here... NOW
Acts 1:8 - With the Kingdom is the Holy Spirit - and it is power, which we lack

Acts 2:1 - The day of Pentecost - Holy Spirit's arrival, after which comes Acts 2:46,47.

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house,
did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all
the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

The Lord, working through believers, adds to the church - restoring original man.

Original man: subdue and have dominion over the earth - Genesis 1:26-28.
God's Kingdom is here now.
Believe it and claim it.


The believer has the blessings of Abraham.

Genesis 12:1-3
[1] Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from
thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
[2] And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou
shalt be a blessing:
[3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families
of the earth be blessed.

Galatians 3:29
And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Jsc, Christians are not bound by the Laws (those portions from Leviticus you cited) which God gave to the Israelites.

Christ is the conclusion of the Law and everything is finished in Him.

The Pharisees followed the Law well and pimped it as their salvation, but Jesus said this to them...

John 5:39
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life:
and they are they which testify of me.

Also...

Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

And many other places we are shown that Christ is the conclusion of the Law.


Christian opposition to gay marriage is not Scripturally based on just what is in Leviticus.

Most critically, it must be known that having a given view as to the age of humankind is not a requirement for salvation.
Many Christians believe man is very old.

Myself, I don't know how old man is, but assume, based on tracking back through the Old Testament (and beginning at Adam) that we are perhaps around 6,000 years old.

I place no emphasis on my view and surely don't seek to press that view on anyone else.

I'm not ignoring it.
It's not an issue that matters a great deal to me.

If you want to point out some specific science point regarding man's age, I'll comment on it.

Look at man's VERY rapid advancement in just the few decades that you've been living.
It's staggering, isn't it?

Look at man's very rapid advancement in the last few hundred years.
Look at man's rapid advancement in the past thousand years.

Man DOES things, right?

When I look at man, man's overwhelming curiosity, his nature to advance and better himself, seek things out - I find it preposterous to imagine that he basically sat in shit and did nothing for... 195,000 years - only to finally sack up and get busy in the last few thousand years.
