T1B DATABASE CORRUPTION: I think we're being hacked!

Mods/Admins...could you look into a little matter over in the Soccer Forum?

I'm pretty sure someone or something (malicious bots) have been deleting posts in the Soccer Forum, maybe on the order of hundreds.
It's inconceivable that in the midst of the Euro 2012 championship, there could be so little activity. I suspect some sort of covert, computer hacker shenanigans.

Let's get to the bottom of this.

TIA

Fuck soccer.

Any game that can end in a draw is not a sport.

What makes you think Nishlord moderates that forum?
Good question, Todd. Allow me to be of assistance. You see, smackaholic employed an effect commonly known as "sarcasm" to demonstrate how Nishlord does not, in fact, moderate that forum. Allow me to translate for you:
I'm sure the moderator, nishlord, is on top of it.
What he actually means is:

"I'm sure the moderator, nishlord, is NOT on top of it."

Following along?

Furthermore, notice the use of the triple laughing emoticon effect ---------->

This is to demonstrate that the notion of Nishlord moderating the soccer forum is so ridiculous, that it's actually laughable!

God and g0D you are dense.

What he means is that Nishlord, not the former lead singer from Herman's Hermits, is the moderator. But he's not doing his job.

To be fair to Nish, it is quite possible that he does, infact, moderate the footie forum. He could check in once every year or so and read the 2 new posts and since neither post was from brad, decide that nothing needed moderating and leave for another year.

I'd like to think that uncle fester is doing the same over in wrasslin' or wheverever the fukk that he doesn't moderate.

There is a plan, you just haven't got blinking lights on a scoreboard to tell you what it is. Scoring happens in a span more than every two seconds, so you're undoubtedly confused.

The outcome doesn't necessarily reflect the game, so you're left to your own devices. Shame it didn't work out.

To be honest, I have no problem with soccer. In fact, I wouldn't stand in the way if my kids wanted to play soccer. The quick footwork and conditioning that is required will come in handy when they play real sports.

Also if they ever find themselves stuck in downtown Oakland for any reason.

Soccer is a fake sport which happens to be massively popular--like Christianity or Dancing With The Stars. But that which makes man great is not his mind--every moose and mouse has a mind. No, it's his hands. And to disallow the use of hands is perverse in any sport designed to highlight human athleticism. The sheer boredom--and subsequent disproportionate amount of celebrating when an actual goal occurs--is demeaning to an audience. The scourge of "soccer hooligans" is just a natural symptom of a very broken system. The other main reason that soccer is a dreadful fake sport is the matter of brain damage accrued due to "headers." The weight of a soccer ball is closer to a basketball than a volleyball, and retired players routinely suffer the same serious problems as retired boxers. To hell with soccer.

Don't know about the latter part of Nick's post, insofar as any concussive aspects of headers are concerned, but he's dead nuts correct about the rest. The "beautiful game" certainly could be, were it not so inherently flawed. Denying the use of arms and hands to all but the goalie simply goes against every basic tenet of human physiology, robbing the game of so much of its potential artistry.

Cech is a class act and a quality keeper (even if he is in the net for the Chavs) who could surely stop any ball action you sent his way, love.

MRI shot after that match (10-14-06) in which Stephen Hunt (cunt, whatever) collided with his skull.
Short bus ? That's rich.

Before the injury he was a beast and certainly a legend. After, less so but still a force to be reckoned with.
Not the guy even the best footballers want to see in front of the net.

sorry, Marty. It was all my doing, but definitely not my fault. Orcinus made me a m0D there along with KC Paul- supposedly to force us to work together and stop fighting- but I refused to accept the premise, and... well... a few posts got...misplaced... sort of. I did it, but it was totally Orc's fault- and KC Paul's

Most of that is subjective, as a sport it simply doesn't suit a culture without an attention span. Strategy and tactics don't lend themselves to a barrage of useless information.

It's definitely a working class sport, the lack of expensive equipment and no commercials during play strike a steam-hammer blow at world Jewry. There is no violence on the pitch but as a spectator you can participate yourself, rather than live vicariously through others.

I suspect all this boils down to Americans being fat:

No attention span, easily confused, lack of instant gratification leads to disinterest, prolonged physical effort being shunned, etc.
Haven't got a clue about the 'using your hands' thing, that just sounds gay.

I like Olympic soccer. That one time when the U.S. didn't suck diseased bradhusker sack...yeah, that was good fun. If you don't cheer on our boys in a competitive bout against one of the world's titans of the game like Italy or France on the grandest stage, then you're plain un-Amurrican.

I suppose if I lived in Europe I'd get into the Champions League. Here? No one to root for or identify with. The MLS is a joke which ranks somewhere ahead of the WNBA and behind old woman bingo leagues.

You need arms and hands in soccer to maintain equilibrium and to gracefully zig and zag through traffic and stop on a dime. Tie your arms behind your back and try to play soccer. You'll fall down. A lot. The lack of direct use of hands isn't a big deal to me. It may not be "natural," but who said it has to be in the first place? Going outside of your comfort zone makes it a bigger challenge. Tearing down 7,000 acres of beautiful forest to whack a ball around with a hunk of metal doesn't seem natural to me either, but somehow that stupid fucking sport game is huge.

No attention span
Americans had (and still somewhat do have) a love affair with baseball, which is obviously a sport which requires a long attention span.

Soccer is certainly a 'skill' game and it IS deceptively rough, but it also appears that guys are just trottin' around out on a very large field - and it just looks... soft.

It's a game for young children.
