Ah, after showing Lethbridge who's boss and now making short work of the Wheaties, the Hitmen are looking pretty good to challenge for that WHL title.
I've always thought Ryan Getzlaf was a prima donna with a tonne of skill. Turns out he was just saving himself for his year's playoffs. :D
Since the Dub was won 5 of the last 10, and 3 of the last 4, I don't know how you can expect the Q and the O to compete with us...

Come on people, get real here.
London is far and away the superior team this year.

Isn't that what you say about the Leafs every year?
Honestly, I didn't think the Hitmen would make it this far, and I'm not counting out the Wheaties just yet. That was a pretty kickass breakaway goal by Getzlaf last night though. He picked a great time to be on fire.

Heh, only on other boards that I troll as a truely myopic Leaf fan.
Personally though, I'd rather see Peterborough win but London really is a far better team.

It's destiny. 67's vs Knights
It'll be series for the ages if it happens.

Well the knights lost last night. series tied 1-1. It was a good game (at least it sounded good on the web radio feed lol) Although I do have to ask. What is DeBoers problem. What a whiner. First of all in 2 games kitchener has 4 more penalties than we do. That is not a big difference. Yet DeBoer's excuse is that they aren't winning because they are getting called for too many penalties. Well maybe you should have your players actually play the game instead of slashing everything that skates by. PLUS, everytime london scored a power play goal the rangers came back with a power play goal. both teams have scored the SAME amount of power play goals. So how can you possibly blame it on that. Even when they win the game they are STILL whining. what a bunch of pussahs

And after 1 game..
It's a good thing that the 67's already have their ticket to the Memorial Cup stamped.
Because after last night's game, it has to be obvious even to 67 fan that London is far and away the superior team.
Rack Corey Perry and the Knight's superior power play.

Oops...
Bad Knight at home for Killer's boys?
5-4 win over the 67's last night at the Civic Centre to take a 2-1 series lead.
Ottawa coach Brian Kilrea was blunt in his summary, saying: "I think they played a lot better than we did."

Okay Hap.. are you ready to concede that once again.. you picked the losing team
.......said the John Kerry sack swinger.
We'll see the Knights in the Memorial Cup Finals, if they make it that far.

HAHAHA IF they make it that far? well they did make it that far
They won their first game of the memorial cup against rimouski i think it was 4-3 in over time. Ottawa beat Kelowna in Double OT 5-4 i think.

Bump...
You were saying? Beaten by a backup goalie even...
Enjoy playing that semi-final game today against Sidney with your banged up goalie.
The Knights will be awating whatever's left of the winning team's hopes so that they can kick them squarely in the nuts and claim their prize..
The Memorial Cup.

L'Oceanic is the story of one offensive line and a goalie. The Knights are a well balanced team overall with an impressive defensive unit and a rather average goalie. It will be interesting if the two teams can meet again.

Game on SM...
I watched the game last night and from what I saw, Abitibi and Tembec should have been sponsering the 67's coverage of Sidney.
From a TV and fan perspective, it's a dream matchup in the final.
Home town team, (London) the best overall this year vs. the best junior in hockey, the next phenom, Sidney Crosby.
Should be a good game.
Okay Hap.. are you ready
now to concede that once again.. you picked the losing team

LONDON, Ont. (CP) - The London Knights were ranked No. 1 in the Canadian Hockey League all season, and they finished in that position by winning the Memorial Cup with a 4-0 victory over the Rimouski Oceanic on Sunday.
Was there ever any doubt?

Congrats to the Knights, they were able to shut off the Crosby line and fully deserved to win.

About 20,000+ and another 20,000+ inside. A tremendously stupid idea to have the parade during the middle of the week and in the middle of the day where the temperature was over 90 degrees. Still a great time though.

50 People? Is that why London sold out their 9,500 seat arena every game. weeks in advanced usually.
