Comparison, in case Mgo missed this

Let's see, last week Russell Wilson went 12 for 16 for 124 yards with a TD and an int. Kirk Cousins was 9 out of 22 for 74 yards, no TDs and an int. Also, Wilson ran for 59 yards and another TD. Cousins lost 3 yards on the ground. As was shown last year in college:
Russell Wilson > Kirk Cousins

So what? Wilson's a mulatto.

Cousins actually looked sharp and showed good command of the offense. His receivers were dropping balls all over the place. In any event, claiming any sort of bode based on one preseason game is pretty silly.

Apparently Goobs hasn't taken a look at the Chickens' WR corps.
When 50 year old TO is your savior... you're in trouble.

Which makes Wilson's stats even more impressive.

All right Goobs, since you want to play this game, let's play.
Week 2
Russell Wilson: 10/17 155 2 TD 0 INT (not bad)
Kirk Cousins: 18/23 264 3 TD 0 INT (BEAST MODE)
And it should be noted that one of those incompletions was a ball-spike.

Of course, one player's team won, and the other lost.
Russell Wilson = WINNER
Kirk "Kissing" Cousins = LOSER

Yeah, about that. I don't know what more he could have done to win. He inherited a 30-10 defecit when he entered the game. Dead in the water. He proceeds to engineer three long drives resulting in TD passes. Skins go up 31-30. Then the Bears get the ball back with 2 minutes left and a chance to win. And the ensuing events were fucking ridiculous.
-Bears QB throws a DART squarely into the hands of a....Redskins linebacker...and the turd fucking DROPS it.
-Bears completed a 3rd and 26 to keep the drive alive. Are you fucking kidding me?
-Bears kick a 57 yard field goal to win. Robbie Gould is pretty good, but...are you fucking kidding me?

Actually none of it is relevant. Ryan Leaf went 14/19 for 143 yards and 2 TDs with 0 INT his first preseason start.

Of course, Leaf was drafted by a totally shit organization.

Wait a minute... so pre-season wins
and stats oftentimes accumulated against players who won't even make a roster who are assembled in vanilla schemes...
don't matter?
Are you sure?

Pete Carroll names Russell Wilson as starting QB.
SEATTLE - Rookie Russell Wilson will get the start at quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks when they travel to Kansas City for their third preseason game.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll made the announcement Tuesday following practice. He did not indicate how much Wilson will play, but he will get time with the No. 1 offense after playing the entire second half in each of Seattle's first two preseason games.
Wilson has impressed during those two halves. He's completed 22 of 33 passes for 279 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Wilson has also run for 92 yards and a touchdown.
Matt Flynn, who started the first two preseason games, will back up Wilson against the Chiefs.

Good for Russell Wilson. I don't have any problems with him. Seems like a solid dude and he's fun to watch. I'm confident Cousins will get his shot at starting QB in the league as well, but likely not with Washington. They sold the farm for him, and will play him even if he blows monkey cack.

This week Russell Wilson went 13/19 for 185 yards and 2 more TDs, and wrapped up the starting QB position in Seattle.
Kirk Cousins didn’t complete a pass this week and hopes not to get cut.

Good for Lolllipop Arm Wilson. But it's not how you start, it's how you finish. He should be thankful at least he got drafted by a team with nodody in front of him instead of a "franchise QB."

He did have one of the top two free agent QBs in front of him. But not for long. I see Sexy Rexy went 8 for 8. Is Cousins the 3rd string QB now? Never mind, I'll ask Screwball.
