Boise vs. State

This should be a good test for both schools since it's being played back east.
I'm interested to see if State can keep up with Boise's speed.
Looking forward to this one in a few hours if I get back home by then.

MSU has pretty good team speed. I'm more concerned with BSU's schemes. I've done a bit of reading about them in the off-season, and their offense is ridiculously complex. They run plays out of a zilly different sets, so there's so much to prepare for.

Some dude on one of the Spartan ball sucking homer boards makes these old timey posters for each game. Kinda cool.

The problem there is it's also a fuckton of things for the new Boise St QB and his receivers to prepare for. It was one thing when they had eighteen-returning-time Senior Emeritus Kellen Moore manning the controls. It'll be quite another with some shaky new guy running things. Don't be surprised if they're more than a bit sloppy, similar to that gawdawful Boise St-Oregon season opener on the blue turf a few years ago.

Similarly, MSU loses its all time winningest QB, all starting receivers, starting TE, and its best offensive lineman. I expect Boise to take a step back, for sure, but I still think they'll be dangerous...and if nothing else...enigmatic. I don't quite know what to expect from them. I think their success to a great extent has been due to coaching and scheme.
I just said they're difficult to prepare for, scheme-wise. That doesn't change if Moore is the QB or Joe Southwick.

Don't even know what to expect.
The B1G team with 3-yards-and-a-cloud-of-punts, or a high-octane, QQMF-led juggernaut-of-sissy-schedules team with all new players.
MSU has a bunch of new players, too... but they still have Gholston, right? Freaking QB killer, that kid.

I'm just glad I don't have to look at a nauseating blue field in my first TV game of the season.

Really, I have to defend M2?
Fuck.
On the Left Coast, everything on the other side of the Rockies is "back east." Pretty common terminology.

I'm supposed to know your cunty terminology? Well here's some of ours for you guys - Michigan is in the "Upper Midwest".

And the Upper Midwest (yeah, we're familiar with it) is Back East.
Tennessee is looking better than they have been... and evened opened with a BCS opponent.

Well, they do have that California kid playing qb for them.
Much like Boise has a San Francisco Bay Area kid playing qb for them.
This should turn out well for both teams.

The douche catchbasins on ESPN were the ones crying about that hit, the flag was for the late hit on the QB - they handled the call correctly, I think

That was one fluky pick given up in the end zone by Boise, so why not just turn around and get an equally fluky Pick Six?
Sure.

Sparty - clearly the dominant team but melting like buttah on a hot August night.
BSU really should have four picks by now.

Pretty much. MSU is dominating in the trenches but Boise has come up with some nice isolated plays. Both QBs appear to be overwhelmed by the environment.

Both teams...sloppy. First game, new QBs...sloppy. First game, tackling and holding on to the ball...sloppy.

The Fat Lady is clearing her throat.
Geez, Peterson -- might wanna put some bodies in the box. I don't think MSU's late-game, clock-burning playbook was drawn up by Arthur Conan Doyle.
