Hetfield's voice just makes me sad. I'd rather listen to any of these...
I never really appreciated Deep Purple until it was too late....I bought Machine Head and liked the album, but never considered traveling for a DP concert....my badSudden Sam wrote: Deep Purple is one of the very few bands I failed to see live and I will always regret it. Mountain, Traffic and Wishbone Ash being the others.

wish I could say the same...I'm sure my ears are still bleeding from the megadeth concert I was dragged to...the only reason I stayed was the proposition of getting laid, which didn't work out..... there's four hours of my life I'll never get backSudden Sam wrote:Never listened to Megadeth
CoC ain't so bad. You might like this:Sudden Sam wrote:I bought a used Corrosion of Conformity CD several years ago, but never gave it much of a listen.
I guess I have an entire period of music that I somehow overlooked. I skipped from the '70s straight to 2000! I don't feel bad about missing most of the '80s schlock, though.
It's too late for Metallica to recapture their old glory. James's voice is shot. They played almost all old-school shit at the Big 4 show in Indio, but it wasn't the same with Hetfield's nasal crooning.buckeye_in_sc wrote:I wish those fucksticks from Metallica would just go out and play And Justice BACK to the early days...fuck the Black Album and that new shit...
Master of Puppets has one of my all time fave songs Disposable Heroes...and fuck yeah Ride The Lighning is so bad ass on all levels...
I have seen seen Megadeth and they rocked it hard core...
and fucking Pantera...saw them twice and probably the two best LIVE SHOWS I have ever seen...they just brought THE HAMMER...and sadly...R.I.P Dime...fuck...they were just fucking awesome...brutal live...fuck
You might not dig Kreator's vocals then, but the music is fantastic. And don't be fooled by Death Angel's name. They actually have some fairly melodic stuff. Check out Act III and Frolic Through the Park. They were pushing boundaries back in the day.Sudden Sam wrote:Thanks, Mike.
I've actually got a little Testament and Overkill. I'm not into the hyper-speed stuff and that type of vocals. I can enjoy a little of it, but not an entire album's worth.
