A's are on a run right now and they've run into the perfect team in the Tigers who are going to choke. A's in 4.
O's are too hot right now, playing with nothing to lose, and the Yankees are tight with too much pressure. The O's pitching will bamboozle the oldass Yankee hitters in Game 1 and that will pretty much set the tone and send the Yankees packing. Oh and CC will get his ass lit up by those Oriole power hitters in the first inning of Game One. Baltimore in 3.
I think the Reds are overrated and I've heard too may people on ESPN saying how great they are. The Giants are going to win in 5.
The Cardinals are world champs and I think they win this seried over the Nationals, also in 5. Nationals are a good story but they aren't ready for postseason.
Baltimore/Oakland <----rematch of 72
San Francisco/St Louis <---rematch of 87, 02

Late to the party, but I was going to say:
Yankees
Tigers
Nationals
Giants

Ditto, only I was going to say:
Orioles
Tigers
Nationals
Reds
...with the caveat that I really don't have the slightest clue as to the Yanks-Orioles series. As soon as I typed this post, I found myself changing my mind. I may as well flip a coin.

Why flip a coin when you have a 100% accurate way to predict it... YAFJ?

I thought we weren't allowed to use time machines or other such foolproof methods.

I was the only one to pick the Cardinals here, big shock.
And the Giants are about to go up 2-1, too.
Orioles go up 2-1 tonight with a 7-1 win. Kuroda is a fly ball pitcher and he'll surrender some bombs early and get the hook around the 3rd inning. Then the Yankees will be counting on.....Philip ......Hughes...... to save their season

The Giants lost the first two at home, so by what bit of sorcery do you see them somehow going up 2-1 in the series?
Oh, and Kuroda was brilliant over 8 1/3 innings tonight.
Keep 'em coming.

That's just one game. You think Buck's Orioles are scared of Philip Hughes??
They get this one by lighting his ass up tonight and getting good solid manufacturing of runs early, frustrate the Yankees by holding them to 1 run through 7 innings, then the Orioles explode on the 8th after the shit bullpen of the Yankees completely fucks up. Probably a 6-2 ending and then the sphincters of the Yankees will tighten up and Sabathia will be taing his hat off and wiping his fat head in Game 5 after giving up too many runs. But let's stick with Game 4 right now...the Orioles have nothing to lose and will play loose and confident and win this thing going away. Guaranteed.

I imagine Scott Rolen is not a very popular fella around Cincy these days....

Tell me how my ass tastes.
A's have their shit at home = bye bye pussy Tigers
O's with their stud going in Game 5 in the Bronx where the Yankees always choke in decisive games (zero mystique there anymore) = BMore advances
Cards with the World Champion mojo going in a game that Strasburg should be starting is destined to go badly for the Nationals= St Louis to the NLCS
Giants simply have a better team and outmanage the upstart Reds = Giants moving on
Let's see....who predicted that those four teams would move on? Insert tumbleweed here....

You're right. The Tigers are totally fucked tonight in this game 6.

You have to admit, getting to play games 3-6 in a 5 game series at home is pretty much bullshit. It's an obvious West Coast (of Lake Erie) bias.

Uncanny. Utterly uncanny.
It's not just that he gets everything wrong every time. Nope, it's also
how he gets everything wrong. He specifically picks one thing upon which he bases his prediction, and that one thing is precisely what assfucks him.

Fucking Nationals. Their late-game chokejob prevented me from going 4-0.

Is that why I nailed down the NLCS when nobody else here did? Nice self-assbeating.
And that was bullshit in the Bronx...that ball hit the fair pole and the Orioles got robbed. That's fine...we'll see what happens in the ALCS.

You were only 2-2. I guess by your standards that's pretty fucking awesome.
And please, for the love of god, do NOT pick Detroit to beat NY. I beg of you.

Not too many best-of-seven series can ever be called after only one game but I think it's fairly safe to say that the sight of Jeter being carried off the field with a broken ankle following Swisher's whiff on that liner pretty much spells the Yankees' doom.
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. 'It' meaning YAFJ's wildly wrong Yankee predictions all season long and into the playoffs.
