Looks like psychedelic carp.
What part of your body is that? Fat leg or fat arm?
Perhaps you can lay your crack pipe next to it for perspective

Thankfully my wife passed on getting a tramp stamp while in college. Two close friends of hers are undergoing laser removal of said tramp stamps.
That's cool that you like tattoos missjo, just know that you are unemployable by Lefty and company. Not that you were worried about that either.
There are just some folks I don't want to see in full sleeves, my brain surgeon for example. On the other hand I have no problem if my local SWAT officers are tatted up.

Like fat people?
It's just the attitude -- "I'll mar my body forever, and I don't give a shit what anyone else thinks!"
Just not smart people -- that whole "I don't give a shit what anyone thinks" speaks volumes about their personality, and not someone I'd want associated with my business.

^^^There's something to be said for this. I've seen this being spammed around the internet. Sorry, but it's stupid.

You would be surprised. I played in a garage band with one of the west coasts top neuro surgeons. He had a few tats going on.None visible in work clothes.
My wife was one of his OR techs. He was pretty stoked when he found out I played bass. We got together about 4 or 5 times a year for fun and private parties at his crib, errr mansion.
Your local swat is probably full sleeved on at least a couple. All my kids have ink, none visible with work clothes on. They know better.

I've employed a lot of people in my life, and many of them have had tattoos. I have family and friends who have tattoos. I like to think I'm open minded. But to tell you the truth, if I was about to get a life or death operation in a hospital, and that dude in the red shirt showed up at my bedside with a scalpel in his hand, I think I'd make a beeline for the nearest exit door. Seriously.

my first reaction to this thread, missjo, was why didn't you just pm Van instead of advertising to the board what a rather large attention whore you are?
But that would be plain mean, so my next reaction was:

I've known a multitude of folks with tats.....they were called parolees.

Big Hoss on Pawn Stars has sleeves. I think he mentioned in an episode that he's $6k into all that ink. I'm guessing that's not a ridiculous overstatement of how expensive a good artist is. And a tattoo is not something one should be seeking out a bargain. That is a lot of money for the simple joy of looking dubious.
& this is why I love to post pics of my Ink here
Not for attention,
but for the amusement of watching a bunch of middle aged fuddy duddies get their panties in a bunch
Over something that in this country has become as normal as having your ears pierced.
I live in a City where more people have Ink than don't.
I work in an industry for a top Salon located in an 5 star hotel & Casino
where my body art is completely acceptable to my Boss & Clients.
Though I don't flaunt it at work as I never wear anything with a sleeve shorter than elbow length,
Underarms are so unattractive when you are working over top of clients all day.
& the Only Mans opinion on my Ink that matters to me is my Hubbies, who absolutely adores my new artwork
as I love his, it's totally hot!
He currently has pretty much a full bodysuit Japaneses style full back 3/4 sleeves plates wrapping over the chest area & both legs hipflex to ankle, I love to trace them with my tongue ;)
We both earn good money in our chosen fields,Him especially, own our own home in a city where the average house price is over $600,000 outright & are totally debt free, so our ink has absolutely no effect on our lives except for being stopped occasionally when either of us wear short sleeves by people who go "wow you ink is so cool, the colours are beautiful"
So thanks again for the giggles you guys never let me down, I think I still come here because I love the predictability of responses I get
Luv ya's *mwuah*
ps Van the rings are bubbles I think. I just let my artist, the legendary Tony Cohen from http://theillustratedman.com.au/
do whatever he wanted for the background

I doubt the validity of that statement but Australia was once a penal colony so, yeah, I suppose it might be true.

Exactly. People only notice what they're looking for. Some guy will buy a Nissan Ectoblast 5000GT and the next thing you know he's telling you, "Dude, I saw twenty-seven of them today! Half the cars on the road these days are Ectoblast 5000's!"
So, yeah, I'm sure that Jo is only noticing the tatted up types while the vast majority of people inhabiting her town are completely off her radar.

I don't believe missjo is an attention whore at all. She gets tattoos for herself because she enjoys them. I get my nails done because I like having nice nails. Right now I have a light lavendar color, they are fairly short and square-rounded. I get no less than one compliment a day on them. I am not kidding. People just love them. I don't have them to get compliments. I have them because they make me feel good.

Hold up. Are you sure the daily compliments aren't what actually make you feel good? You prolly feel good because society is validating your choice.
Women often say their "beauty" routine isn't for men, and I totally agree. It also isn't for themselves as they often claim. It is in fact for other women as some sort of competition. Case in point, my wife and I attended a charity event last month and one of the ladies my wife knows well was talking about how well her dress made her feel. She said she felt classy, sexy and confident. It was about this time that I went to find the bar. When I came back she and my wife were gone. Finally my wife reappeared after what seemed like a half hour and told me another woman had shown up wearing the same patterened dress. The first lady who was just feeling so classy and confident was balling her eyes out in the bathroom.
If the same thing had happened to me and some guy came in with a suit and tie matching mine we would have been hamming it up. Hell we would tell the whole world what good taste the other had and how we knew what looked good etc.
So, not saying you wouldn't do it without the compliments trev, but if people said they didn't like it often I doubt you would still do it.
