Avatar bet this week? I don't relish the idea of wearing that ugly green and white helmet after losing the bet but I'm willing to risk it. Iowa will have to play the best game of the year to keep it close....and I don't think Sparty is anything special, but Iowa is downright below average this year. A loss to MSU won't be nearly as embarrassing as the earlier loss to another Michigan team (Central)....hell, we're likely to be 0-3 against Michigan schools this year.

Are you game? Loser wears the avatar for a month, end of the season...whatever you like.

How about a two week av bet?

I took Iowa in the pick'em because I think MSU giving 9.5 is a bit too much. The o-line is struggling right now (partly due to injuries), and the team is pretty inconsistent. Look like world beaters one quarter, and putrid the next.

But, it will be nice to get back to playing a pro-style offense. I don't see the Hawkeyes doing too much against the Spartan D, which, outside of two or three quarters, has played very well this season. If the passing game continues to come around, I think MSU wins by a TD.

Wow! A game pretty much void of offense (2 good defenses, neither great) that's going to OT. This could take a while as neither team may score during the OTs. Let's go Hawks!

I'll be go to hell. Iowa is not a good team but got a big road win at the expense of Sparty.
