My son put the video on his facebook page earlier in the week and his comment was the same as yours...."There's a reason they're called The Best Damn Band In The Land." I took the opportunity to watch a few other clips of other performances on youtube and was equally impressed. I've only seen the band live on one occasion in Iowa City and was lucky enough to see "Spript Ohio".

Anyone else remember when most half times on TV featured the school's bands? Sadly in spite of all the effort those kids put out we might be lucky to see a short clip. Instead we get 15-20 minutes or so of talking heads interspersed with commercials.
BTW-best half time show in a stadium was back when my brother played at Penn State and the Air Force Academy team came to play. Most cool with the falcons soaring over Beaver Stadium and diving to snatch bait on a string.
Never saw a crowd cheer for birds before.

According to the Aggies their band has never lost a halftime.

However I know of twice that they have without a doubt lost halftime. One was at Rice when the MOB moved their yard marker signs and blew a whistle that screwed them up and they turned into themselves and it became a huge cluster. They just stopped mid performance and walked off.

The other was after their bonfire collapse and the Texas band did a tribute to the killed students. They played Amazing Grace and another hymn. That was followed by the Aggies band doing their usual follow the leader thing.
