Sam, you really, really need to get off this passing efficiency kick you're conveniently on of late. In BTPCF it matters not a hill of beans. It's strictly a function of the offensive system, the chances the OC is willing to take, and the degree to which a given team is just plain much better than the opposition. Stick Barkley in, oh, say...Alabama's offense...and what do you think his efficiency numbers would look like?

McCarron also has the benefit of the best running attack in America.

I wonder what their first half rushing stats look like?

McCarron has the benefit of having been handed the keys to the least stressful, lowest risk QB gig in all of football. There isn't a decent QB in America who wouldn't flourish under those circumstances.

Again, Sam, what do you think Barkley's efficiency numbers would look like were he the Bama QB?

In the meantime, check out Barkley's yards and TDs. Go ahead and compare those to McCarron's. Notice the enormous disparity? It's the differing systems. Barkley is asked to carry much more of the load. Bama's success is only nominally predicated on how well McCarron throws. All they need him to do is not turn the ball over. Oh, and okay, maybe complete a key pass or two against LSU.

That's it. BFD.

Quit dodging the question.

Oh, and yes, USC's WRs are far better than Bama's. It's not even close...nor will the draft day positions be when the names "Matt Barkley, USC" and "Clipboard Holder, Alabama" are called.

Exactly. If Barkley was the Bama QB, his efficiency rating would go up while his yards and TDs would go way down.

Actually he is a prima donna little prick. A "badass" when ahead with a lead, but cries when he loses...will not scramble, hates contact, and almost never wants to share blame.

We must not be watching interviews of the same kid. The guy is modest, self-effacing and deferential to a fault. All he ever seems to do is go Tebow Support Group on his teammates whenever they're behind, such as during the Utah game when Khaled Holmes gave the Utes a quick fourteen points with his botched snaps, and following any loss he never fails to say anything other than how he's disappointed but will study the tape in an effort to get better.
