Bama v LSU

I can see the tide losing two games in a row.
tonight and next week against "Johnny Football".
I'll also make my call of the day...
... San Diego State will knock off Boise State tonight up in Boise and eliminate them from BCS contention.

Just checking in to see where I'm standing on my predictions for this game and the surf school in California going into Boise and playing the BCS busters and sending off the cliff in despair.
Hmmmm...
LSU 17 and Bama 14, check
San Diego State 7 and Boise State 6, check
not bad for a saturday night.
I must say... I was wrong about AJ Who ?
He's worse than I thought. 10/22 for 93 yards and a couple of goose eggs.
I think both Bama and LSU are both trying to get at least one loss so they don't get embarrassed and blown out in the 1st quarter against Whoregon.

Moot point if LSU's lead holds, and KSU or Notre Dame wins out.

Then it will really get ugly for em.

I didn't think Oregon's D played badly at all, Sam. Barkely was innsane. Most of USC's (huge) damage was Barks threading the needle on crazy long balls... played like the Barkely we remember from the last 3 seasons. Didn't help that Marqise Lee is one of the most ridiculously talented players I've seen in a long time. Fucker almost cracked 400 yards for the second straight week. Barkely almost cracked 500 in 2 straight weeks.
Bama played well when it counted.

If it replays later, you should.
But it's just a different style of ball.
Hell, USC's D did a good job keeing it to 62. Just a classic PAC full-throttle track meet.
Freaking good day at the Church of CFB today.
Oregon State and ASU are playing well tonight, too.

Barner had the best game I've ever seen... ran through armies of crimson shirts effortlessly.
I'll call a PAC-have-the-defenses-take-the-day-off spade a spade when applicable, but it wasn't the case. Just testosterone and adrenaline in monster doses today... just like Bama/LSU, but it manifests differently Out West.

Hardly. Still, it's hard to ignore the Wizard's success when it plays in your back yard. You're just bitter because you keep losing ground.

[nfl]Scott[/nfl] made an appearance in a thread or two this eve openly rooting for a ‘bama loss so the CFB team he’s openly rooted for the past 6 years here has the inside route to the MNC.
Does that count?

Check out fucla laying the wood to Arizona. You know, that Arizona team that beat southern CAL last week.
Not to mention... they now have not only stolen our mascot, fight song, and colors. They've
really stolen the blue and gold (literally). Check out those uni's they're wearing tonight.

No doubt about it. Oh, from about 1PM this afternoon, I’ve barely moved from the couch and don’t plan on doing so ‘til the end of OSU/ASU. Really don’t give a shit about this game, but when you’ve come off a day of CFB entertainment like today, it’s hard to break. Crack, I tell ya’.
Mizzou/UF was like a bong hit to get started. Line of coke, was the ND/Pitt game. OU/USC was dropping acid. LSU/’Bama? Jesus… tying one off and mainlining, THAT one was.

This.
Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Bad decision after bad decision, all of which backfired. LSU was playing them toe to toe and instead of just grinding it out, he coached like he needed trick plays, none of which 'bama fell for.
Les Miles is a dumbass and Alabama winning that game was a gift. Gary freaking Pinkel would've won that game if he was on the LSU sideline, that's how badly Miles butchered his own teams chances.

Still can't believe LSU was getting 10.5 in that one. Talk about a freebie.
Then again, I thought Arizona -0.5 seemed like a good idea and they lost by 56, so I won't get too cocky.

I went with Dinsdale psychology in that pick -- A Bama loss would have been a great boon to Oregon, so by picking Bama to cover way too big a spread, I figured I'd increase LSU's chances.
Kinda got the worst of both worlds with that one.
I
almost went with UCLA... they're tough at home. Then again, I saw several I liked... and every. single. one. that I didn't include in my 10 picks hit. Every one of my alternates. Must have mulled about about 25 games, and every one hit - except 4 that made my final list.

I'm a Mizzou fan - who is rooting for K-State to win the MNC
I lived in both Topeka and Manhattan for a few years growing up, so there's my rationalization
So, when Mizzou was getting bitchslapped by KSU in the past, you turncoated to KSU?
Steeler fan here (born/raised and all that shit). Spent two years in Nashville. Never will I root for the Titans. Spent 7 years as a child outside Philly. Currently live in Philly again. Will I ever root for the Eagles or Flyers? Hellfuckingno.
Hell, I’m a Penn Stater (graduated ’94). Will I ever root for Pitt when they’re not playing ND? Only if a street fight broke out between Pitt and the Philadelphia Flyers (and I’d dearly hope the Flyers brought knives to a gun fight)… and THAT’S even as a Pittsburgher through and through. You see, allegiance to what team you support has much more to do with staying true to your colors than simply where you may have ‘spent a fucking year or so growing up’.

I'm an Iowa fan who will also be rooting for K-State to win the national title because of their coaching connection to Iowa football. That and the fact that Iowa will not win the national title or likely even make it bowling this year.

What Mace and Mgo said. How can anyone not root for the Wizard and that remarkable team he has built literally in the middle of nowhere?
I suppose the only good thing that's come out of leaving the XII is being able to root for - instead of against - old confrence rivals. Kinda like what Paul Rhodes is doing up at Iowa State; and Tehc's Seth Doege has been a helluba lotta fun to watch this season.

and what Tru said. Rest assured that Manhattan, KS. is indeed "the middle of nowhere". I have no idea how they recruit players from anywhere other than Cornstalk or Wheatchaff USA to play there. But somehow they do.
