So, Oregon beats a higher ranked team than KSU, so you drop them?

Nice logic.

There's consequences to playing near-perfect offense. One of them is that you give the ball back to the other team... and sometimes, that team is really good on offense, as well.

And Oregon increased its stranglehold on their #1-in-red-zone-defense rating.

Yeah, you read that right... #1 in red zone D.

And you guys can try to read into USC scoring big as "bad defense" all you like... but you might wanna take a look at this:

[quote="Papa Willie"]1. Alabama. Tough game and they still pulled it off. Death Valley on a Saturday night is a MOTHERFUCKER.
6. LSU. Yeah - I know - 2 losses, but they're still a good team. Look out if Mettabooger starts playing like he did last night.

Going from homer to Gomer....

LSU is an average team with a below average QB who looks more like Katie Holmes than Tom Cruise....

A&M wandered into the oh so scary sec and is in 2nd place because they brought in a non sec offense and quickly learned about the productive nuances of sec scheduling...see LA Tech, SC State, Sam Houston St.....

Can't wait for the big, strong, manly sec defense to run down Oregon's offense while trying not to trip over their tongues that will be hanging to the ground.

Yeah, except that Oregon will likely be doing their running in the Rose Bowl against an over matched Big 10 team while Alabama is playing K-State for the NC.

Assuming both win out, that's extremely unlikely.

Bama and Oregon still #1 and 2 in the polls... as they should be.

Yeah, if Oregon wins out, there's no way they won't be in the MNC. Bama-Oregon is the glamor match up that the media and probably most casual AND diehard fans whose teams are out of it want to see. Plus, they'll have the benefit of padding the resume with another win in the Pac 12 CCG while KSU and ND won't have that opportunity.

Except the BCS has K-State at #2 and Oregon at #4. Oregon might jump ND this week in the BCS but not K-State. There's a long way to go though.

If anyone doesn't want to see Oregon play whoever for the NC, you're an idiot. What they do is freakish, the most unique thing I've ever seen in football if not all sports. I'd love to see them play Alabama-great athletes, great coach vs. Oregon--otherwise you just get to see 'Bama just overpower, outmatch KSU a/o the Irish.
After the hogshit that passed for a national title game last year, you're looking at the same fucking thing if the Ducks aren't it. They may not win but it'll be fun to watch.

Let's play the rest of the games, for sure.

But Oregon even got a #1 vote. If Bama keeps getting suckered into close games, Oregon will start getting more #1 votes (got one this week). Oregon's SoS in the computers increased for a higher computer average, and the #1 vote increased their poll average.

Probably pass KSU in 2 weeks, and never look back.

But let's play the rest of the scheduled games, shall we?

And question for everyone -- should the glaring fairness issue of certain teams getting CCGs be adressed?

I mean, I don't give a shit about "fairness" when it comes to ND, since they don't give a fuck about it themselves, but isn't KSU, and even Louisville getting kinda screwed by the deal?

Sudden Sam wrote: Louisville? Gimme a break. They've barely eked out wins against a buncha shit teams. They don't even deserve to be mentioned.

So, winning every game doesn't count for anything?

Bama eked out a win against a team with no offense -- I guess we shouldn't even mention them.

Drinking early, Sam?

I say that a lack of a championship game kinda screws KSU, you "disagee" by saying the only thing that screws KSU is the lack of a CCG?

That's kinda what I was refering to, Cletus. Other conferences get an extra game to rack up BCS points... catching on yet? Light coming on? Anyone home?

While I agree that Louisville's schedule is a laugher... they've beaten everyone on it.

Gotta give them some love for that.

You're just hating on UL because they have a better QB than you do (and Bama's 3rd stringers are better than UL's starters at every other position).

I can only imagine what Steady Teddy would do on Bama.

But I don't need to imagine to know that he'd be better than the guy you currently have.

Yes, he is.

And I can see why you hate him... for some inexplicable reason, he turned down Bama to go to UL (so maybe he's not too smart... but UL offered to take his high school buddies along with him... doubt Bama or LSU (they offered him too) offered the same deal).

But if he had taken it, AJ would be the backup right now.

Horrible comparison -- Teddy actually hits his deep recievers.

Of course, Teddy's recievers let about 30% of all thrown balls bounce off their numbers, hence his 70% completion rate... but he hits them.

I saw some UL homer stat that some ungodly high (dont remember the exact number) percentage of his incompletions are dropped balls. I'm surprised Screwey hasn't asked any UL recievers for a date.

I can't believe they signed a QB of that caliber. Getting actual top-level WR talent was a little too much to ask.
