I'm sure we can find a week like that for every conference.
Not in Week 12 though.
A little vacation before the stretch run.

Yep, and I seriously considered burping up a pic of Daffy saying it.
Dins, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Pac has ever seen seven of its members play D1-AA teams in a single weekend.

They end up at the top because of the media over rating SEC teams to begin the season. There is no way in hell Florida or South Carolina are top 10 teams, but there they are, bumping up the SOS for everyone.

What's really despicable is Auburn - AA&M should be a toss-up game.

It happens every year and isn't exclusive to the SEC. How many years did it take the media to realize that Notre Dame was undeserving of being ranked and that the losses each week weren't upsets? And who did the media have as a pre-season #1 this year? USC.

That's what Kentucky, Ole Miss, Miss St, Tennesee, Vandy, etc., are for.
They need a rest before they take on Auburn.
More like Auburn is the rest that you need before the CCG.

That's two teams, not an entire conference.

You mentioned Florida and South Carolina in your post, so I responded with two other teams that are annually overrated in the pre-season polls based on their tradition and media appeal. The "entire" SEC is not overrated. When is the last time you saw Kentucky in a football pre-season top 10?

Jesus Literal Larry, of course all 12 teams aren't overrated. But Missississippi State sure did earn thst #11 ranking, didn't they? If Indiana, Duke, Kansas, or Washington State started the season the way MSU did against that schedule, would any of them would be ranked 11th?

Their turn is coming, I'm sure. Every year, the preseason pollsters stack the usual SEC suspects at the top and then try to sneak a bottom-feeder by us. Remember a couple years ago when Ole Miss was a consensus preseason Top 10 pick and wound up going 8-4 or something?
As far as media bias playing into SOS, I might have to call bullshit on that one. Aren't most (credible) SOS rankings determined by computer algorithms? I doubt they'd feed the human rankings into the SOS formula(s) with so many
actual concrete stats available to use instead. I absolutely agree that an SEC media bias exists and it's spelled out rather clearly by the weekly Top 25 polls. I just don't see how said bias could affect SOS ratings.

I believe that was when the great Jevon Snead (Texas transfer) was going to lead Mississippi to the promised land. He sucked severely.

The fact that the bowls pair 4th place SEC teams against other conference's co-champs or 5th place teams agasinst 2nd and 3rd place teams from elsewhere won't make them respect the league. And 6 straight titles has made God himself hate the SEC.

Yeah, that's it. It has nothing to do with anything else. And they also win every championship game by severe bias.

True. I'm just glad the Aggie fans and the Mizzou fans are starting to see it all now.
Let's just tell the truth.
Boys - the main reason the SEC does so good? Negroes. Lots and lots of them. Lots of speedy negroes. Lots of speedy big negroes. Lots of them live here - more than any other area of North America. Those big speedy negroes love heat & humidity as well. This is fact, and you boys need to deal with it.
Holy Jimmy the Greek!

I believe those "big speedy knee-grows" love that cash, too! lot's of that available in the SEC....or rumor has it.

That's pretty much the dumbest fucking thing I've ever seen anybody post on this board. Just remember - your B12BSH'ing is higher on this board than anybody else would suck off their conference.
As far as the rest of your flawed theory, how many threads have you opened saying that the Big 12 sucks this year? I'll wait for your answer, Mensa.
i have no theory. i just know the OP is right. the SEC is playing patsies this week, in November. game over.
i have not opened any threads about how the Big XII sucks. feel free to use the useful search option here at theoneboard. i don't think i've posted one time in years about the conference strength. because that nonsense doesn't concern me at all, unlike you SECBSH. find someone else to pretend about, moron.

I've changed my mind about LSU -- once they actually played somebody, they appear to fucking suck.
Two bad teams... but LSU is somehow top 10... I wonder if that has to do with the vested financial interest of a large number of poll voters, eh?

The SEC has produced the best team in the country 6 years in a row. That does not equate to it being the best conference top to bottom.

The Pac has 5 tough squads that I would match up with the top 5 in any other conference....
The SEC has 6 tough teams...
The ACC has two teams...
The Big 12 could arguably enter their top 5 teams
The Big 10 - 1.5 teams
and that's about it....(per my opinion)
