I remember that game. Used to joke for years how the CFL didn't know how to lay out a football field and the refs couldn't count downs, numbers of the team on the field and ignored backs in motion and for a while had two teams with the same name. Actually it is a wide open game. I love how the backs time their start so they are not off sides when the ball is snapped. They get a good running start on the defense. Only 3 downs to make a first down is annoying. Watched it a lot when I lived on the border. Went to a game in Ottawa, Rough Riders vs. Edmonton Eskimos. Back then w/o all the TV time outs, the game moved along fairly fast. The league made a huge mistake trying to market the product in the US.

The CFL has its own Ice Bowl, also known as the Staples Game.

50th anniversary of the "Fog Cup" (1962), not the Grey Cup, Phibes...

Canadian football sucks donkey dick, but it's generally better than what's played by Tampon Bay. Another fine example today, eh hoser?

Winnipeg QB Kenny Ploen was a star player at Iowa and led them to the Rose Bowl, along with a guy named Alex Karras, who didn't play in the CFL but probably bet on the games.

Tampon Bay? At your age I would expect a bit more originality. What's next? All the titles Green Bay has won has somehow elevated your status? Have a wonderfully shitty winter old man.

I was really disappointed when the Buccaneer punching bag was removed from our division.

The NFL is rapidly becoming unwatchable.

Exactly. I have not watched more than 5 minutes of any game this year. There is no compelling games or match ups, a few good teams and a lot of teams that completely suck. But the fans keep paying the money to go see them, and will continue to do so regardless of the quality of play.
No reason to pass on some great steelhead fishing to watch that shit.

I turned off the Packer game last night to watch another ESPN 30 for 30. "9.79" is all about the dirtiest race in history, the 100-meter dash at the Seoul Olympics. Where that cheating Canuck Ben Johnson won the race, then promptly got stripped of his medal for juicing. Ben was explaining how someone from the Santa Monica Track Club slipped something into his post-race beer, which lead to his positive test. Great show, though both Carl Lewis and Calvin Smith appear to be sword-swallowers.
