Everybody's sacked out watching Ironman 2. All is as it should be.

Off to the store for some last minute stuff before the 16 or so guests start coming over.

Happy Turkey-Day to you all, too. One of my favorite days of the year. All the ladies are going through the 10 lbs. of black Friday ads and comparing strategies on how to get all that cheap shit they don't really need but can't pass up a good deal. Thought about picking up a 60 inch LED but I might wait another year, I've already got a 55. Not to go all Aggie-dude here, but that would put us up to 6 tvs. :grin:

A sunny 77 degree day because we're eating outside this afternoon.
Ace Rentals - we won't have to do any dishes or wash the tablecloths.
Newcastle Ale and Oban, which I plan to start on around noon.
Stanford vs. UCLA on Saturday.
Stanford vs. UCLA next Friday, hopefully.

Bird went on the smoker at 6:15 AM; got the Lions and Texans on the tube; Mizzou hoops on the radio; Horns and Frogs tonight; and enjoying a Boulevard Nutcracker Ale-or-three. Oh, and it's 70-fucking-degrees outside! War American Holidays! :grin:

Pretty much the standard fare. Bird, mashed taters, various squashes, sweet potato casserole which thankfully the OL could not ruin with those stupid little marshmallows she usually puts on. Marshmallow is utter shit, why anyone would want to ruin something as nice as a sweet potato with it is beyond me.

Is is actually a degree or two over 50 and sunny. Not quite warm enough to move dinner out to the deck, but, I'll take it. Remember more than a few turkey days when it snowed like hell.

My friend and his wife had a few friends over at their place in the People's Republic of Cleveland Park in the District, so I hung out there and watched the Skins cunt-punt the Girls. Drank a few Bell's Best Brown ales, Christmas ales and Midwestern Ales, and Java Stouts. Always have to spend a little extra on the booze quality at holidays.
