Well, well, well...

...HERE you are. Went out searching for you fools on occasion every couple years or so and finally, a decade later, I find that you were all sitting right here on my computer screen where I left you.

Who knew?

Just seeing the names gets me a little misty; seeing dates next to the latest posts end in "2012" instead of "2004" gets the tear ducts fired up.

Ahh. Nice to be back.

Dr. Bob (in Marina del Rey - Tampa and H-Town are too hot and moist).

Do you share a practice with Dr. Detroit?

Since he's in Marina Del Rey he's 'Dr. Robert' now, with the 't' being all silent and stuff like it's hoity-toity French.

Sam, it is me...but I don't know if I can hold up to Dr. Robert. Sounds too much like a black and white Henry Fonda film or something.

Biggie - back at you amigo! My wife still talks about how drunk I was during my last business trip to Denver. In fact, that evening had cascading consequences that got me into even bigger trouble in the future. All because she asked who I was with and I replied D and ....and I froze and certainly wasn't going to sit in a crowded restaurant and say "Haywood Jablomi".

It is alarming how soothing it is to see so many familiar nicknames. I bet there's a condition that some psychologist in Brussels is responsible for naming that is the cause of what I'm feeling.

So, who else is around? I saw uncant, MGO...

Dr. Bob in a Reasonable Time Zone

PS Biggie you will be happy to hear that I'm almost done with the second draft of a script with a gambling theme that partially originated with several drunken discussions with Python about his past. And there is a character named 'Biggie Cohen' who even explains the origin of the name.

Sounds interesting... I look forward to reading it.

Howdy, Haywood. I'm a lot less drunk than the last time you saw me.

I don't remember any drunken discussions, but I guess that's kind of the point. However, I do remember one time you took a dump in the guest bathroom and thought you had turned on the vent but it was actually the heater. You then left for your next destination and I discovered the heater on after a few hours. You ever walk into a port o potty in the summer? Please don't ever do that again.

Yeah, that was probably a "post-late night heavy alcohol" guest deposit as well. Hope that the wife and child survived.

No wonder you've been difficult to track down...surprised you didn't go into Witness Protection after that.

Most houses these days have heat in every room. Some people even have radiant heating systems in their floors. I know you're an old fuck, but you shoulda moved on from the whole log cabin/outhouse thing a while ago...

Granted we are talking Baton Rouge (where winter lasts about 45 minutes I think).

I have a furnace that heats the entire house. I don't have a separate furnace for each room. I know you’re a weapons grade contrarian, but do you have a thermostat in your bathroom?

No I don't have a thermostat in the bathroom. I just saw the opportunity to rag on your age. Just like you saw the opportunity to make a joke about heaters when clearly the poster meant heat. I am assuming he took a shit, didn't flush, and cranked up the upstairs thermostat. Make sense?

No. If you actually read Python's post you'd know that there's switches in his bathroom for both a ventilation fan and a heater.

As long as there's ventilation I'm sure it's up to code

Yeah, there really was a heater in the bathroom. In Baton Rouge.

Let's just be clear that I support whichever position casts my actions in the best possible light. Or heat lamp.

Some homes have heat lamps in the bathroom or sometimes resistance coils in the tile floor which is separate from whatever form of heat the house uses otherwise.

See, this is what I love about you people. The discussion begins with an admonition about rendering a man's house unlivable and then morphs into one part smack-pillow-fight and one part serious home construction and design colloquium.
