How bad/overrated is the SEC ???

Well, lets put it this way...

NEVER in the history of College Football... has a conference had 2 teams ranked in the top 10 and lose their bowl games to 2 teams not ranked in the top 10.

That's just flat out pathetic.

Not to mention... having 2 other teams ranked in the top 10 that barely got by 2 just horrible teams in Nebraska and Michigan.

I think Wisconsin is still up by 80 and about to score again against Nebraska... or was the mercy rule invoked in the 1st quarter ?

Anyways, I turned that game off after Wisconsin was up by 70 or something.

Notre Dame (the most overrated #1 team I can remember) will show just how bad the SEC is when they beat Alabama tonight.

The only half-way decent SEC team (aTm) is really just a Big 12 team that got lost in "the thicket" of the south and ended up in a conference with less dentists per capita than England.

Of course, aTm was only able to squeak by Cal's new coach and his Division 5 school by 3 points... so, there is that.

Which is far better than Alabama fared against aTm.

Bad/overrated... take your pick

The SEC is just not a good conference, period !

Your conference ended up .500 when it should have won all of it's games. Sorry. :(

The SEC set a bowl record that will never be broken... having 2 teams in the top 10 and losing to 2 teams not in the top 10.

Nobody plays big boy football better than Alabama...Notre Dame was a watered-down version of the Tide and hence the domination. I would've liked to see more of a gagdet/open offensive club (a la A&M w/Manziel) face the Tide because any team that doesn't do anything dynamic is just going to roadkill.

They're the biggest and toughest team in the trenches and their offense isn't exotic but they use big athletic running backs and their QB doesn't make a lot of mistakes. I think Stanford vs. Alabama would've given old-timey football fans a massive rod because those were the two best teams at playing old school football. Notre Dame beat Stanford on a bogus call in OT...they were at least equal if not better than the Irish in that game.
