Seeing Soundgarden tonight

New album sounds alright, but of course I will be going to see Slaves and Bulldozers in all its sonic glory. Stocked up on earpluge. Unlike usually, I am skipping looking at setlists so I am somewhat "surprised."

I think I'll cop a feel and grab some chick's breast tonight when no one is looking in the women's restroom. Then when I get arrested for sexual assault, I'll throw a temper tantrum because it was her word against mine and as Killian already said, sexual assault is nothing to get worked up over.

Best Soundgarden song ever. If they don't play it, I'd demand a refund. Hopefully Cornell can still pull it off...

He obviously doesn't have the vocals like he did 20 years ago, but it was still good. Maybe that's why they don't play Birth Ritual anymore.

before they were semi-arena rock, i saw SG twice. opening for Danzig and Jane's Addiction. Danzig was the self-titled tour and pretty amazing live...comical as it may have been......JA was Nothing's Shocking tour and same height of their powers even though it was a smaller venue... i guess....but SG was pretty good both times. i'd say the early song that tested CC the most would be beyond the wheel from Ultramega OK. which was an LP i liked a lot. flower was another good one on that long player.

Nice take, KC. I bet that Jane's/Soundgarden show was something else.

Sidenote: I saw Jane's Addiction a couple of months or so ago (whenever that was).

Or I saw about 2 or 3 songs, anyway. Then I walked out, since it was the worst show I've ever had the horror of witnessing.

Weapons-grade suck. Kind of disappointing, really.

Do you like...anything?

You're the world's biggest hipster and you don't even know it.

Dins likes Steve Vai. Can one still qualify as a hipster if he likes Vai? Does his love of the Grateful Dead help his case?

Your mom.

I think I'm scoring tix for Stephen Lynch... pretty sure he won't suck.

And BTW - I like Soundgarden, up through Badmotorfinger... after that, not so much.

Would admitting to liking the Black Keys make me a hipster-dork, or just a garden-variety dork?

No Dins, it shouldn't suck at all. I've seen Lynch three different times now, and the "Live at the El Rey" DVD is worth owning. Lots of funny bonus material.

As offensive a comic as there is, and his music is brilliant, especially when he turns a very pretty love ballad into the vilest song you've ever heard. Dude is hysterical.

Lynch is very talented, but I don't think I would want to sit through more than 10 minutes of his schtick.
