Kind of interesting that Earl punches out the same day as his polar opposite, one of the most decent people to ever play the game, Stan the man.

Guess how many games Stan got tossed from in 23 seaons?

Zero.

What if I told you Weaver was a devoted husband his whole life and Stan the man strangled seven hookers?

I'd say that makes sense. Earl was a bitter midget that likely gave up a few inches and pounds to his OL. A wise strategy in such a case is to not piss her off. As for the hookers, they prolly had it coming.

Earl's winning percentage was also 9th best ever and 5th best among managers in the modern era who managed at least 10 years. His teams won 100 or more 5 times. Loved watching him. Back when baseball was America's past-time.
